We are going to celebrate my DD turning 7 while at Disney. On her actual birthday, we are going to do a fireworks cruise, presents, cake, etc. I'm excited to do these things for her, but at the same time, I'm worried about my DD4 who won't be celebrating her birthday. No one loves birthdays more than she does and I want to so something just for her to make her feel special while we are there. One thing I have planned is BBB for both of them. We ruled out the Princess tea party because I don't think she'd sit still for it (although I'd love to take her because DD6 and I really enjoyed it). So, please share any other ideas you may have on what I can do to make her feel special. Thanks! princess:

Invitations are a good way to make any event seem like it is a childs special treat.

We made our first trip to disney as magical as possible.

Our kids were 6 and 3 at the time, and we played up everything possible.
We scheduled Chef Mickeys for the first day, and we made invitations and little gift baskets that we snuck into the room before the kids got a chance to see.
They were so excited that Mickey and Minnie had invited them to breakfast :)

And when we did CRT for my daughter...
One day we returned from the parks and "Cinderella herself" ;) had left a cinderella gown in my dd's size and an invitation to eat breakfast in the castle the next morning.

The kids were so caught up in the wonder of it all and it made the trip so much more memorable.

Maybe you could create invitations from their favorite princess to BBB for them. I am trying to think of something extra special for the 4 year old dd...is there anything else that you've scheduled that you could play up for her a little more than for the birthday girl?

You could always try to make it to the campfire and movie with chip and dale over at Ft. Wilderness one night. You could try to make it seem like that night was all about her.

I'll come back and post if I can think of any other good ideas.

This may depend on how crowded it is, but...what about slipping her favorite princess a note (through a Handler) saying what DD's name is and something special about her that only someone close would know, then when DD meets the princess it will be like the princess really knows her. Just a thought.

Tinker Bell leaves little trinkets every morning when we are at WDW. Just small things like Princess stickers, sunglasses, pencils, etc. I also pick up small items that the girls eye in the gift shops for Tink to leave behind. One day, the girls got a charm necklace (easier than a bracelet for little ones) and then Tink left a few more charms. We also allowed the girls to pick out one charm per day.

See my trip report for more ideas. :)
