We are determined to utilize our dining plan credits effectively and don't want to really use counter service meal credits for breakfast or order a bunch of stuff from Garden Grocer if we don't have to. What are some good options for utilizing snack credits for breakfast other than the typical bagel or muffin? We are staying at Pop. Thanks :thumbsup2.

Other than a bagel or muffin I think your only other choice is going to be a yogurt parfait. If you look at the Pop Century discussion on the boards they probably have a picture of the menu which will show what is snack credits.

A big ol' cupcake. It is vacation after all!

In reality, I have a small family, just me and my 9yo so we split a bounty platter. I'm not much of a breakfast eater so I just pick at the biscuit and a piece of sausage and he eats the rest. We actually prefer to split all our meals because it allows us to eat smaller meals more often and try more things. Even on the QS plan we never went hungry and had a bunch of credits left to use up on our last day. We go in late August so smaller meals are our preference because we both feel ill if we eat large meals in the high heat.

They do have what seems to be a decent selection of snack credit items that would make an ok, but small, breakfast.

Magic Kingdom - Dole Whip Float with Pineapple Juice - like having an OJ and yogurt, but vacation form
Epcot - Croissant Jambon Fromage - ham, cheese and bechamel in a croissant (France)
AK - Fruit and Cheese or Elephant Ear (Africa section)
DHS - Well, maybe go back to Epcot or hit Starring Rolls and do cake - pastries are best here...

These are all great ideas. I'm glad that the food court offers traditional breakfast items that can be purchased a la carte with snack credits.

I sometimes pick up pastries from a bakery at a park (like the bakery in France) the day before and have them for breakfast. Or leftover desserts from the dining plan. Also, the yogurt parfait at Pop is pretty big (and yummy).

Pop is awesome for snacks and QS meals. Huge selection and variety. You can also walk over to AoA for even more options (although I think their breakfast choices are largely the same).

I'm at Pop now and granted I did bring some protein bars with me to help with breakfast, but I have been using my CS at Pop for dinner at night. With that I either use my refillable mug for my meal or water. Grab a chocolate milk and either strawberries or yogurt and keep them in the room fidge to have for breakfast with my protein bar. It's been perfect to have after my run around the lake.

If you have a dining reservation at a resort that has DVC villas, check out their gift shop. They are well stocked with grocery items. I usually buy a sleeve of Thomas' bagels at sticker price (no mark up),box of Entermann's donuts and a bag of chips to snack on in our room or by the pool.

Also pack some oatmeal, cereal boxes and granola bars from home.

Starbucks in the parks does a strawberry smoothie that my daughter would sometimes eat for lunch.

You can also do a cereal and milk as a snack credit. Some of the resorts also do smoothies, over by the ice cream area.

I do NOT recommend the yogurt parfait at the boardwalk/belle vue lounge. yuck yuck and more yuck. it's plain yogurt, chia seeds, a few raspberries and mushy granola. maybe if you like your yogurt plain you will like it but I do not - i expected it to be vanilla or something.

I second ordering a bounty platter to split. DD and I have done that for years. Then we also split a QS lunch and got our own TS dinner. This gave us plenty of food without being stuffed (QS meals are so big!!!).

We had some great sticky cinnamon buns from Roaring Fork at the Wilderness Lodge.
