Ideas for surprising a 3-year old?

We're headed down to WDW Oct 14th-20th. We're going to take our 3 year old son with us and are going to surprise him. He's been to Disney 3 times, so knows all about it, but thinks we aren't going back until his little brother turns 3.(1 1/2 years from now). Any ideas of how we can surprise him with the trip? We want to wait at least until we get to the airport - longer if possible, but he'll know what's up when they announce the weather in Orlando on the plane. Also- we are just bringing him - leaving little brother home with the grandparents.

How about a treasure chest from a craft store or maybe a Disney Store and put in pictures from WDW to clue him on the destination?

Are you going to the Halloween party? Does he have a favorite character? You could surprise him at the airport with a costume and letter from his favorite character telling him that he can't wait to see him and that they are going to celebrate Halloween early etc.

If you wanted to do it the morning you leave you could make a trail of halloween candy from his bed to a carved out jack-o-lantern with a note inside telling him that he he is going to celebrate Halloween in WDW! (you could carve the shape of mickey in the pumpkin or use black construction paper to make ears to stick on it).

I like the letter idea. He can't read, but every day he asks if he got any mail from Mickey. When we were potty training him a year ago, "Mickey" sent him encouraging notes in the mail. My husband also does a pretty decent Mickey impersonation(at least to a 3 year old) so he has called him on the phone before pretending to be Mickey. Maybe we could do something with that?

I will be surprising my daughter will a trip to wdw around the same time. She is turning 16. I plan on getting a large box and putting in a balloon with a message attached, something like the current disney comercials for what will you celebrate.
