Ideas for surprise!!!

I am surprising my DH with a Disneyland road trip for his 29th birthday in October! We don't have kids yet so it will be just the two of us! I need some ideas on how to tell him at least a week before we go! He thinks Carsland sounds awesome and has always wanted to go to the Halloween party (which we will be doing)! Any ideas?
Also, any suggestions on special things to do at DL for him? Thanks

Maybe you could hollow out a pumpkin and put the tickets in there and attached to the top. When he pulls the top off, the tickets will come out too. Or you could get him a little travel shaving kit and put a little note in it about using it at DL.

What about a scavenger hunt with different clues that when he puts them all together he figures out the answer. Maybe include a die cast lightning McQueen as one of the items.

I'd probably keep it simple, just because my DH wouldn't get as excited about a big production as I'd want him to. Like I'd be hoping it would be like the little kid videos you see on the commercials, with crying, etc. And of course he'd probably just be completely calm and say something like "Oh, cool." So I think low-key is just fine.

You could do something simple like plan a movie night and ask to watch Cars. And then get him talking about how much he wants to see Cars Land, and just kind of throw it out there casually "Well, I'm really excited to go on RSR next week." And then when he looks at you funny, explain that you booked the trip.

Or maybe start working on your Halloween costumes, and try yours on one night, and say something like "I really like how this turned out, but I'm worried about how it will look in all the pictures with Mickey." If it's subtle, he won't be expecting anything, so it will be that much more of a surprise.
