A friend is going next month and I believe he is popping the big question. I haven't been on here in a llooonnnggg time due to health issues, BUT I remember a thread somewhere quite awhile back with a discussion on how to do it really Disney style and make it memorable. Any help I can pass along would be much appreciated. I just don't want him to blow it. Getting engaged at Disney can be the most magical and memorable point in their relationship and I hope to help. Thanks bunches.
Stay well,

Oh wow! How exciting! I guess it all depends on the bride to be and what sort of thing she likes? For example, would she prefer somewhere private such as on one of the beaches with a bottle of champagne and being asked just as the fireworks go off ( not that I gave this much thought! Lol), or meal at Cinderellas table? Or my DF was really cute one birthday and organised all roses and petals in the room as a surprise with drinks? Or what about a private safari? Or if she is more into thrill seeking what about parasailing on the lake at the contemporary as a tandem and he could ask her while looking down over the castle? Disney is so awesome that anywhere or anyhow would be magical IMHO :)

I saw one last week!

It was 7:10am EMH and MK was empty, I saw the future groom talk to two photopass photographers about his plan.

Right in front of Cinderella Castle Forecourt! He was taking a regular picture with his now fiancée and then went down on one knee and lights were flashing in two angles! Then a single cast member got virtually the entire back half of Main street to clap and cheer, it was Disney Magic at its best!

I saw everything and am inspired!

Wow! that sounds incredibly awesome as does the post from Tinkerbell. Please keep the ideas coming for this guy. Again, much appreciation for replying to my post.
Stay well,

The rose garden is also a sure fire amazing experience, a little quieter and also availible with photopass photographers! You can also pop the question early at MK usually during EMH inside Cinderella Castle or right at the entrance.

I've inadvertently become the "go to" man with my friends and friends of friends for romantic ideas mainly because I've pulled off some huge surprises for my wife over the years but the key really is to know your audience!

It depends a lot on what the potential bride to be is like as a person. Does she like big gestures or does she find them embarrassing? Would she prefer a public proposal or a very intimate private one? Getting it right really depends on the type of person she is.

A private dining experience in one of the top restaurants with a view of the fireworks is an option. Contact the restaurant and arrange a special glass slipper dessert for the ring.

The possibilities are really endless, but you have to know the person to know what types of things to suggest

you can try and talk to disney about doing what i did. :o) see the video below. probably the most popular is doing it on the dumbo ride, the carousel, and during the dinner at Cinderella's royal table if you want something more low key and simple.

oh my goodness, you guys are just the best!!! lucky girls to have these posters!! i teared up watching the video and got all misty reading the ideas. I'm forwarding everything to my buddy. I'm going to ask him to think about his girl and is she more private than public as I honestly don't know. Thank you for the helpful and fantabulous romantic suggestions. Just incredible. I thank you all for your time in replying. Keep 'em coming, there's still time before he leaves in February and I will keep you all posted.
Stay well,
