We are traveling with my parents and our first day at WDW will be their anniversary. We will be at MK for the day and we are having dinner at Crystal Palace that night. I am looking for ideas on how to surprise them with something special. We are staying at POP and I know my dad mentioned it to the CM when he booked so it's on the ressie....

My inlaws are also celebrating their anniversary when we go, and I was thinking of taking them to a restaurant in the Grand Floridian. You can order a cake there with a really awsome chocolate Mickie and Minnie topper. Other than that, you can go to the Boardwalk Bakery and they can do something for you too that you can take away with you and either bring to any restaurant, to their hotel room. Another thing I was thinking of was having Cookies by Design send something over to their room -or Edible Arangements.

I know at a lot of restaurants you can phone ahead and have a cake for your party. But I'm not sure of Crystal Palace. Over on the dining board they may know better. And there are pictures of cakes too that people have ordered.

When we went last fall it was my sister's anniversary. And what I did was. When we stopped at Winn Dixie to pick up our needed grocery items, we had a car, I picked up a little bakery cake with Disney princess rings on it. It was very cute. I believe it only cost $5.

and then I also booked a Wishes Cruise. that was the best We left from Wilderness Lodge. I think it was approx. $250 and it was for 8 people. Exactly the size of our party. You can also book a party package on the boat. Don't remember how much more. We didn't do it. But for my sister who goes to WDW multiple times a year, this was something new that she hadn't done yet. And she really loved it.

Good luck! Hope you get all kinds of different ideas!

Oh yeah I've also used the Disney Florist to send things to the room before. Flowers, gift baskets etc!

We just returned from a trip and celebrating our daughters 2nd birthday at Crystal Palace - you can preorder a cake. For a 6" cake the cost is $12.95 (reasonable by Disney standards!) when you preorder you can have it personalized but if you ask for a cake when you check in for your reservation they can provide one then as well (same cost; not personalized).

For a special treat for their anniversary you can book a horse and carriage ride. They run at Fort Wilderness and Port Orleans. They are about 20-25 minutes and if book at night can be a very romantic outing.

I have not done this but I've read where you can schedule a special photo shoot - maybe inquire if they have something they can do for an Anniversary picture for your parents and then purchase it for them as a gift. I know you can stop any camera man on the street but I think by scheduling it you get to plan the picture rather than just stop and take it.

Hope this helps, enjoy your trip!
