Ideas for next exchange

What do you want for the next exchange?

  • A Disney item........could be anything

  • magnets

  • salt and pepper shakers

  • Bath and Body Works items

  • bookmarks

  • other.........list in post please

Results are only viewable after voting.
I'm in for all of them besides the Body works(not into that kind of thing) and can't find the yankee candles so I stay away from that one.

Anything else sounds great to me.

Okay.....just to prepare all my fellow exchange-aholics ;)
I'm going to do 3 pretty fast.
I will start sign-ups for the first right after the keyring one calms down.....probably the 30th.
It will start with magnets.......sign ups for a week, mail out for 2 weeks.
Followed by bookmarks.......same time lengths.
And then notecards.
They will over lap.......so get prepared!! But they are all fairly inexpensive to buy and to mail out :teeth: :bounce:
It's the exchange-athon!!
And......then I rest .....but I will follow with some of the other great ideas later.

So........you will be able to sign up for one or all.......and you can do as many of each as you like.

How does that sound??
And........I need some feed back for the bookmark one......what kind of specifics do we want for that one?

I am open to anything. Looking forward for them to get started. I am on my way out now to get my keyrings so they will be in the mail on time. I will keep my eyes open for the upcoming exchanges. These are as addictive as the "Boards":D .

I love bath products, so I voted for the Bath and Body Works.

But, what about small packs of notecards. You know the ines that have a pretty picture on the outside and black inside. (or say "Thanks" on the outside.

I am always running out of little cards to send in the mail.

How specific can a bookmark be??:teeth:

I mean a bookmark is a bookmark is it not.......but maybe you mean something like how many to send.

I'd go for 2 -3 per exchange I would think. They are nice & lightweight & will fit in an ordinary envelope.;)

How about a patriotic July 4th exchange?

We also have a plethora of pregnant DISers (congrats to all of of the moms-to-be!!).
How about a placenta exchange, or maybe a breast milk exchange?
There are several of us that haven't been able to conceive. :(
I'm sure we would all gladly take a baby in exchange.

I loved the part of your world exchange we did last year. I also like the regional cookbooks since I am always looking for those. All I know is I will participate whatever it is. :D

I don't know about Australia, Nutsy, but here we have a lot of different kind going from a dollar to $5 or so...paper, plastic, metal, cloth, plain, fancy, whimsical....all kinds.

But number amount would be good.........just some kind of basic minimum to set is a good idea.

I really want to do the "your part of the world' and regioanl cookbooks and plan on doing them (if someone else doesn't) right after these 3 little fast ones.

And..yes, it is addictive!! I love them!! :bounce;

I think a Bath & Bodyworks exchange would be awesome! Maybe I can be brave and run an exchange for that!! ;) Actually, I have been thinking the past couple of days for a fun exchange, but never thought about that! I was thinking about a "Christmas in July" ornament exchange being that Hallmark stores do their ornament unveiling in July!! I think I could probably get my nerves up by then!! :teeth: Who knows, maybe I will do something before then!

I LOVE THESE EXCHANGES!!!

Yah, Nancy...do the cookbook one!!
I personally would LOVE it. I like cooking and since I'll be a newylwed and in a new house....I can never have too many cookbooks around :)

NIGHT EVERYONE!

You can never have too many cookbooks........well my DH thinks you can..and that I do

It's on the list after these 3 smaller ones.

Kristy............if you are going to be away ;) and want in on the first one.........just let me know.
Magnets. Sign ups will be May 30-June 6.....mail by June 20.

Thanks Nancy.

I think I'm going to skip the magnets and sign up for the second one. I should be back in town and settled down by then :) *other than packing the apartment to move into the house on July 12th*

just had a idea:how about add to a collection exchange

each of us tells one or two things we collection and the exchange adds to that(it can be small)

LOL....other than that :teeth:

They will be popping up a lot this summer. Have to do something to keep me enteratined ;)
I will try to remember to post on the Yaya thread too. ;)

CS....I'll keep that one in mind too.....but I don't know about anybody else, but I'm pretty picky about what I add to my collections now.

Interesting thought CS, but I wonder just how it would work.

I have several collections, most of which are already Dis exchanges;)

But, it's worth a thought tho, could be fun :D

Along the notecard line, what about those skinny pads of paper that have the magnet on the back. You stick them on the fridge...what the heck are those things called!!! LOL
Anyways, how about those! LOL

All right, Nancy!!! I'm in on the 3 quick ones, for sure!! Thanks for the little nudge and the poll.

Love the regional cookbooks idea, as well as T-shirts. Not into smelly stuff becuz of allergies, but I can sit out a Bath & Body Works exchange and just read your posts on what ya'll got!! Salt & Pepper shakers sounds novel to me--there are so many cute sets out there!!

I also like the lapel pin and ornament suggestions--those could be fun!!

I loved the basket exchange we did last year, although I went a wee bit overboard on that one

How about a pocket calendar exchange when the new 2004 calendars come out? Or perhaps a deck of playing cards? Tote bags? Suncatchers (those glass or plastic thingies ya hang in your windows)?

:) Hi Beth!!
You ventured out ;)

Lots of great idea folks....I think we can be exchanging for a long time.

On the notecards one.........I think it will be notecard/pad exchange.
Some of our out-of-country exchangers can't find any cute notecards.

Calendars......:teeth: That was one I did last year. It was fun......so maybe a repeat.
And then there was the cookie recipe exchange we did last fall (late). Might have to do that again.

And of course, YCEs will be popping up......right Todd?? ;) Are you taking that one on again when this one gets settled?? NEED one for the holidays!! I bought things last Christmas for this year
I'm hopeless ;)

what's coming up so I can pick things up tonight?(picking up coffee mug and last 2 keychains)
