I'm not sure exactly where to post this...

We're heading to WDW in 3 weeks with our 18 month old DS. We have toyed with the idea of getting a harness for him, since he likes to walk around. I've seen these:

But I was wondering if anyone has seen a Mickey Mouse version? Does anyone have an idea how to make something like this?

TIA!

I've never seen a disney version. But you can easily put pins and such onto parts of it. :)

I do want to wish you luck in using one with less than 3 weeks practice. My guy needed more time to get used to it.

I wondered if the bookbag styles are too warm for summer months? We will be going in May/June and my dd is hot natured anyway. How do other types work?

We have one of those...the dog one, though. They sell them at Target, and I asked my son if he wanted the bear or dog, he chose the dog. He LOVES it! He's 3.5, but his younger bro is 21 months and loves it as well (and he fought the other harness we had). The softness of this one (especially the straps) is what I think they both like about it.

It's not that hot at all. Maybe in WDW in July, but it shouldn't pose a problem. My only issue is that it is advertised as a "backpack" but the pocket is so SMALL, it could maybe hold 2 matchbox cars or like, chap stick. But, that's it!

Otherwise, for $9 I thought it was a steal. Your kid might not care that it's not mickey.

NOTE TO DISNEY: You'd make a FORTUNE if you made these with Disney characters and sold them in your parks...;)

We also have the dog one we got from Target, and my 17 month loves it! Only warning I give is, when the child wants to go one way and you don't want him to, and you start to hold him back he will fall! :rolleyes1
We are going in May, and will keep this handy at all times! :cutie:

I just bought a harness at Wal-Mart for my almost-2YO DD. It was not the animal/back-pack type (I didn't want it to interfere to much with her princess and Tink dresses). It is made by First Years; it is composed of red over-the-shoulder straps, and it wraps around the waist. It has a little picture of Elmo on the front. It is very easy to put on, and the "lead" is about 4 feet long. The harness was about $6.00. It was either this or the monkey (which is cute).

There is a very cute purse-style harness on walmart dot com:

I would have ordered this had I left myself more time before our trip.

HTH!!
