I would like to know what everyone does to make envelopes for Mousekeeping Tips. I went to the bank and got all the one dollar bills and now I need to get the envelopes made. I was wondering what everyone on DIS does to decorate the envelopes. What do you print on them??? Ok let's hear all the wonderful ideas.

:wave2:

I didn't know there was such a thing as envelopes for tips before we went...I just took a piece of the tablet and wrote FOR MOUSEKEEPING and thanked them, leaving the money sitting on top of it and it always was gone when we came back to the room.

I actually made cards. Went to AC Moore and bought an 8 pack of blank cards and then found Disney Stickers. On the outside I had different colored paper sglued on the front of the card , on top of that the Disney Character sticker (they were large and covered over 1/2 the front of the card). On the inside I cut out small circles and ovals and stamped one letter per shape to make it say Thank you and finally signed out names. If I have to add in a note I can do it when I am there on a slip of paper and put in it the card with the tip.

I always make my own. I save pictures (.bmp) from the Internet. I then go into MS Word and paste the pictures on envelopes with Mousekeeping spelt out and print them. That way I can put the pictures I want on them. There are so many pictures on the Internet.

My kids are counting down the days until our trip Aug. 20. This is a great way to help w/the countdown:) We have 105 days, the paperchains would still be a little too long...especially w/a 2yo running around :goodvibes
Thanks!
Cheryl

I buy Disney stickers at the dollar store and we use them and markers to decorate the envelopes then write something on the envelope that fits with the stickers, like Incredible job! Thank you, on an envelope with Incrdibles stickers.

How many dollar bills do you leave each day? My friend is going to Disneyworld in a couple weeks and would like to have an idea how much to tip :earsboy: ! They are a family of 5.

Wow you guys are so fancy!! I just tuck the money under the housekeeping sign/card etc. and they've always figured out that it's for them. We tip $4-5 dollars per day.

I use Heidi's format. I have added other clipart that I have found on the Web, though, mostly featuring Disney couples like Mickey/Minnie, Donald/Daisy, etc.

We usually tip one dollar per person per day. Sometimes we tip a little extra if we get good service. I also leave the tip daily because we could have a different Mouse Keeper every day. HTH

I used plain white envelopes and let my DD5 put all the Disney stickers she wanted on them. Oh yeah, and I wrote Mousekeeping in the middle of it told her she couldn't cover that up. I then just left it somewhere prominent.
I tipped $5 daily for 3 of us. I figured it was easier to get $5 bills then enough singles.
We usually ended up with extra Mickey bath stuff, always a benefit, and some really cool towel decorations, a clown, a snowman, a super cool monkey, etc.
Have a great time! :cool1:
