Ideas for events after the wedding

Hi Everyone:

My wedding is scheduled for 12/22/06 @ 10:00 am. The reception will end at 4:00 p.m. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to what to do at night time for my guests. I have about 55 guests, and would love to have a Fantasmic or Illuminations dessert party, but according to my wedding consultant, those nights are blacked out (b/c of the holidays).

Any suggestions as to what I can do that would be just as special?

If you want to see the fireworks you could see them from the Boardwalk hotel than you could all head to Jellyrolls for the piano bar or to the lounge for drinks?

Hi how about a Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party? I am not sure if this would be a blackout date but it looks and sounds fun.

im with princessblueeyzes, mickeys very merry christmas party at magic kingdom. you would have to change out of your wedding attire but it would be a fun way to spend the evening together, go to the parks & do the rides. in the past tickets have been like $25 per adult.

Mickeys very merry xmas party would be a great idea! we are doing this a few days after the wedding as a thank you for our guests!

You might need to check the dates of MVMCP. I believe it end a few days before Christmas and your wedding might be after the last date of the party.

If MVMCP isn't that night, you could have a private dinning event at the Grand's marina where you can see Wishes from (without music). We did this as a welcome party for my intimate. We had cheeses, fruits, desserts, soda, tea, coffee and hot coco, as well as a butler very fun. But they have a full menu you can choose from so you're not limited to dessert.

You can have the music piped in for a fee I belive someone on here found out it's like $300 but I could be wrong on the price.
