Ideas for daughter's first birthday!

It will be my daughters first birthday on the 24th Jan and i really wantt o start planning a nice party for her, however i cannot decide whether we should have it at home or whether we could arrange a different location?

Would anyone have any ideas? There will be a mixture of adults and toddlers.

Eda I can't believe your DD is nearly one!

With my two DDs first birthdays I remember deciding on a simple cake design (a teddy bear for one and a hedgehog for the other) and then finding other items to tie in with the theme to make it seem more like a party. They had a few toddler friends around with their parents and were pretty oblivious to the celebrations, I seem to recall!

I think it would be easier for your DD to have the party at home, but it will be much easier on the carpet if you go somewhere else.

I don't really have advice for the party as it's so many years since I've had to do one,sorry

I know where has this year gone to!!!

I was thinking something at home and then decorating the house with either a fairy theme or Disney. Having lots of food and drink for the adults and then maybe an entertainer for the young ones.

Gosh we'll see i will kep you guys updated and of coarse you are all welcome to come!!!

Actually in hampstead they have a fairy shop so on the morning of the meet i am going to have a quick peek there for ideas!!
