I know I've seen comments on this board about the lack of character meals aimed specifically at boys at WDW. There seems to be no lack of Princess meals for little girls. Anyone have specific ideas for character meals for boys? Please include the proposed location and attending characters for your character meal idea. I was thinking about a Pirates of the Caribbean themed meal at the old Adventureland Veranda. Featuring Capt Jack Sparrow of course. Any ideas?

My son would love love LOVE a Star Wars character meal! I'd put it at MGM of course and have R2D2, C3P0, Chewbacca, Darth Vader and Darth Maul for sure!

A Pixar character meal. Woody, Buzz, Mike & Sully, etc.

And I really think they should revamp the H&V one. Kick out JoJo & Goliath and replace with someone else (Handy Manny?).

My son would love a character meal with Buzz and Woody. What about the Power Rangers?

I guess a lot depends on the age of your boys and what characters they like. Crystal Palace at MK has all the Winnie the Pooh characters. We have gone there for breakfast and loved it, even my 27 yr old brother had a great time. :thumbsup2

Chef Mickeys at the Contemporary also has a good character buffet. It includes Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Chip n Dale. :wizard:

My DS is 10. He is into the 'classic' characters.. Mickey, Goofy, Donald.. ect. We ate at Chef Mickeys and he loved it. We have two younger girls and ate at the castle and Crystal Palace as well. He appreciates a pretty princess :rotfl: and isn't embarrased because he is doing it all for his sisters. ;) :rotfl2: He even really enjoyed Pooh and friends, although according to him "Pooh is for babies". He would LOVE a villian meal or Star Wars. He is at the age where Buzz and Woody are too young for him, but pirate: are cool.

I think a Hero Breakfast/Dinner would be cool for boys. It could be somewhere in one of the Epcot Pavillions and feature heroes such as Hercules, Aladdin, Mr. Incredible, Buzz, Woody, John Smith, Robin Hood, etc. Maybe Germany would be a good option since they have a restaurant with lots of large tables. :goodvibes

My DS4 just loves the Power Rangers, so I think that would be a good choice of characters, in MGM since that is the only place you can find them.

Thanks guys....great ideas so far. My 2 boys would go nuts over a Power Rangers or Star Wars meal! As a matter of fact, I think I would go nuts for a Star Wars character meal. Keep the ideas comin'!

Great idea! My boys would love heroes, but they would also love villains. I think it should be done at MGM though - especially since Fantasmic features a lot of villains.

I also love the idea of Star Wars or a Pirates of the Carribean Theme. My DS is 12 and a huge fan of both! He would absolutely love the idea.
No one has mentioned the Lilo & Stitch character bkfst @ the Polynesian. My 2 son's DS12 and DS5 along with my DD7 enjoyed it alot when we went last summer. Another favorite of ours is Chef Mickey, something that we always plan to do and truly enjoy!
I also like the villians idea. Who knows maybe someone out there will read our ideas and we'll have a new character meal sometime in the future!

I think a "Heroes" character meal is a FANTASTIC idea!! Same goes for Star Wars! Stop ignoring the little boys, Disney ;) I personally think a Villains meal would be really scary to little kids so that's not my cup of tea, but a "Heroes" character meal would be fantastic.

I know all my "boys" DH (50) 2 DS's (26 and 18) and DGS (very close to 6) would absolutely love a Stars Wars themed character meal. And I know DGS would also love a Pirate's themed meal. Disney........are you listening????

Why not a Heroes/Villains character meal? Parents could put up a "force field" (maybe resembling a night light or Mickey's sorcerer's hat from Fantasia?) if they don't want villains to stop at their table.

Having both though could prompt great character interaction. I would love to see Peter Pan with Captain Hook, Aladdin with Jafar, Beast with Gaston, and Hades with Hercules.

Maleficent is my favorite villain though so I would hate for Disney to always have opposite pairings (like those I listed above).

My point is: Disney doesn't always need to cater to the younger children. Crystal Palace has the Pooh characters and the character breakfast at MGM has Playhouse Disney characters. My boys aged 9 and 7 love Disney, but have outgrown these two character meals. While they will tolerate princesses (even without having a sister) they would much prefer meeting heroes and villains. Why not have a character meal that caters to their age group and up?

I have been requesting this for the past 9 years to CM who answer the phone at dining reservations and sending emails to the "powers the be" and nothing. I think a Pixar breakfast would be wildly popular with both boys and girls. It's a mystery to me why Disney was not put a more "boy" friendly character meal together:confused3
