We are going to BWV in August and will be there with DM for her 62nd birthday. This will be DP third trip to the World with us and we have never stayed at BWV before. We are eating at Tutto Italia that night and I know I can order a special cake, but she is not a big cake person. What kinds of things have you done to make someone's birthday a little more special? I know that being in Disney for your B'Day is already special, but maybe you have ideas for something a little more?:confused3

Have you "registered her" yet for her "Special Celebration"? You can do it on line at www.disney.com.

I celebrated my birthday there last month and I had registered before hand. On the day of my birthday, I had a choice of one of the following; entry to one park of my choice for free, fast pass all day at one park of my choice or a gift card in the amount of a 1 day pass and I think it was something like $75.00 if I remember correctly. I took the gift card since I'm an annual pass holder. You must present proof of identify at any Visitor Relations window .

Also when we checked in I got a Birthday Button. It's nice the day of your birthday to have CM's walk up and wish you a happy birthday. You can call MS and have them add it to your resservation if you want.

If she's not a cake person then I won't suggest the Cake Hotline. My husband called the month before and had a beautiful cake delivered to our room on my birthday.

I'm a child at heart so just spending my birthday in WDW is such a treat for me. But I'm sure whatever you do she'll enjoy it. You can also arrange for some gifts to be delivered to the room, but I forget how you do that. Hopefully someone here will know, or call MS.

Have a wonderful trip!! That's where we were in June.

Thanks. I registered her on the website. I am still considering the cake since the rest of us would like it.:rotfl: I am going call MS to see if balloons or flowers can be delivered to the room. It is so much easier planning for my children than my mother.

Do you have a dining plan, if you do then you will save $$$ you can tell disney your reserving a table and tell them it's a birthday celebration most of the time they will give you a cake for your celebration.

Last time I was there on my birthday, we atr at Chefs de France. They let me pick out whatever dessert I wanted from the menu1. I ordered the creme brulee, and a few minutes later about 15-20 of the CMs came and sang the French equivalent of 'Happy Birthday' to me and presented my dessert, with a candle in the middle, and decorations all around the plate. It was a very nice surprise!
