The Sci Fi restaurant comes to mind if you don't want a character meal. You actually eat in cars!

However, it's pretty hard to beat Chef Mickey's character meal (either breakfast or dinner) for a six year old! It's pure magic for kids that age!

Not planning to go to U.Studios ?
Any other recomendations if you need a ticket for the sci fi resteraunt?

The Sci Fi is not in Universal Studios--it in Disney Studios (MGM).

I will look it up. Again i suppose you have to go to that park that day?
Unfiortunatly his bithday is on Monday the 30th May memorial day holiday. We were not planning to go to the parks that day as i expect they will be packed !"

I took my son to Chef Mickeys for his sixth b-day. He is now 12 and still talks about how mickey gave him a "party" He really believed the fanfare and swinging napkins were all for his birthday. It is a fun place and your son will love it.

Chef Mickey's Restaurant is at the Contemporary Resort. You won't need an admission ticket to a park that day. But you will need reservations asap. The Boardwalk has the ESPN Restaurant, there are large televisions everywhere showing sporting events.

Hi thanks for the reply but I thinks we have missed a wee bit of the magic, my 6 year old thinks M.M. is not so cool but space, cars etc onther other hand is very cool now. Should have gone to W.D. World last year.

If you have a car there is the Race Rock restaurant on International drive. It is themed with race cars, I have never been so i cant say if it good or bad.
