I posted this in the planning portion, not realizing there was a whole link for this!

I want to create a scrapbook for my DD of our upcoming trip. I am a CM junkie and that is all I really use for my books. Anyways, looking for some tips to getting autographs. Is it easier to just have them sign the pages, or should I use other paper.
I was thinking of trying to use some photo mats, and somehow bind them to make a book and have the characters sign that? Anyone have any good ideas?

Most of us make tags 4x4 or larger out of cardstock.
I kept my tags loose and used a mini clipboard to hold a stack. Then when they were signed I put them at the bottom of the pile. I would reload the clipboard during meals or at night. Take ziploc bags with you to store the used tags or mats in your room.

Oh and welcome to our crazy little corner!! I saw your other post but saw that bigbabyblues sent you our way.

I agree w/ BAMB!!!
That is what I am currently doing now for our upcoming trip!!!!
Yeah!!!

Welcome!!!!

For our '05 trip I painstakingly scrapped pages for my kid's autograph books (I used the CM Disney sentiments album). I was soooo proud of them. Yessirree.

BUT ... once I got to WDW I realized that it would've been so much easier to leave the pages blank. I spent so much time trying to find the correct page for the character to sign, that it really wasn't fun. AND we had to carry around every page with us, which got heavy after a while.

This past trip I just brought another CM Disney Sentiments album with enough blank pages that I thought I'd need for each day, refilling them with blank pages. I left the binding off as well, since the ones from our first trip got pretty munched after carrying them around all week long. That way I could have a character sign a blank spot, then we could remove the signed pages each evening.

Now all I need to do is insert a blank page inbetween every autographed one, which will hold the photos of the character. I'll use the Mickey Snap Pack to decorate the pages, as well as any other supplies that I have to augment it as needed.

I hope this helps! I could post some of the pages, too, if it would help you. I'd just need a day or two to get it done.

What I do is I get them to sign the autograph book that we buy there, dd loves carrying that around, its small, light and then when we get home I photocopy the autographs (which is great b/c if I want them smaller or bigger its easy to do) and then I use the photocopied autographs for my scrapbook and dd still has her autograph book intact to show off!!!! LOL
