Hi everyone! My name's Renae and I've been creeping on these boards for over a year, but this is my first post! I have lived in Los Angeles for the past two years, so I have the ability to go to Disneyland once or twice a year (if I can afford it). I'm 23 (about to turn 24) and I'm a graduate student and English tutor.

So, my boyfriend and I are going to Disneyland next weekend and staying at the Anaheim Maingate Holiday Inn. This particular trip is to celebrate a special occasion: It's my boyfriend and I's second anniversary! If you want to get particular, it's our 3 1/2 year anniversary, but if we're going from the date of boyfriend/girlfriend status, it's two years. He's my love and soulmate! :goodvibes

So, here's my question, my dears: What can a girl do to surprise her guy during a special Disneyland visit that is: A) Not too expensive and B) Can be accomplished by Friday, May 11th? I know it's a tall order!

Here's some pictures during our last (and first) DL trip together last 4th of July. You'll get a great sense of our personalities from these!

Thanks for all your help and suggestions!!

You can get "Anniversary" buttons to wear.

You may go to the Main Street Train Station and ask to ride the Lilly Belle. If he likes trains ask about riding on the tender. This is best to do early in the day.

You can also go to the ROA dock and ask to ride in the wheel house of the Mark Twain.

Those are all free.

If you haven't done this before go to a dollar store and buy some light up stuff to wear at night.

Hi skiingfast! I was definitely planing on doing buttons (we got our first timer ones when we went last year), but thanks for the other cute ideas!

I am willing to spend some money, but not more than like $50. Part-time tutoring isn't exactly a lucrative job!

You may want to get silouettes done on Main Street. Buy your own frame. It could be a nice way to remember the occasion.

Get some dessert at Blue Bayou. Definitely romantic if you ask to be seated by the water. Dessert runs about $10 each, and worth it for the atmosphere. Don't forget to make reservations!

I couldn't agree more. My family got these 12 years ago and they are still on the wall at my parents house, and they always get us to reminisce when we are all together :)

Thanks for the great ideas guys! We have a reservation for Cafe Orleans, since it's our favorite. I don't know if he would be down for the silhouettes, it's just not his kind of thing. He's a goofball, loves fun, and deals with the cheesy only when I make him.
