So I leave in 7 days for Disney to celebrate my DD's first birthday. I am making little goodie bags for all of our family that is joining us. Everyone is an adult. (aunts, uncles, grandparents, greatgrandparents.) So far I've done a hershey's bar with a mickey birthday wrap from the disigns board, some gum, some of those single serving powder flavors for water, a little info card with our trip schedule, important numbers, park hours etc. (I'm the planner for the trip). Any other ideas. I have to do 8 bags so I'm just trying to think of other little things I could add that won't cost too much yet could be enjoyed by an adult while WDW.

If they are the types to bring a book to rea by the pool or at night maybe a Disney themed bookmark would be nice. Small tubes of sunscreen, handsanitizer ir chapstick could be good for in the parks as well.

How about glow necklaces for the nighttime parades? You can get them cheap at Wal-Mart or dollar stores. Some in the group may not like them, but those that are caught up in the 'be a kid again' feeling will love it.

I am doing the same but I am ordering lanyards and a few pins for everyone!

I LOVE the idea of the necklaces, I will have to get some of my bags!

I'd second the little hand sanitizers. Also, little kleenex packs, mints , hard candy like Jolly ranchers everyone in our group loved these as some times you are in line a little longer than you thought and may run late for meals. Little 2pks of tylenol, pepto, or tums, we find someone is needing these every now and then. A package of wet wipes comes in handy as we usually wipe off CS tables and chairs, remotes, and hands. If you're room snackers some mini bags of chips, cookies, and mini candy bars. We love making goodie bags for others we travel with so have fun with it.:)

The ponchos is a great idea. You can get them at Walmart in the camping section, they in teeny tiny little bags so they're easy to carry, for $.87 or something like that.

I recall seeing Disney bookmarks somewhere here on the boards. Print them on cardstock and then on the backside place a small photo of your DD with a crayon scribble that you have her do - and then either laminate them or simply use clear contact paper to seal. Inexpensive personal keepsake.

PP have had some great suggestions. I would add a snack-sized ziploc bag of quarters and pennies. Ask each family member to do a few pressed pennies around the parks and then at the end of the trip, gather together and put them all in a pressed penny book to keep for your daughter. She can add to it in years and vacations to come. Each pressed penny uses 2 quarters and 1 penny.

I would also throw in some gum (especially if you are flying) and earplugs. Earplugs are handy when attractions, shows or fireworks become too loud -- or if you have a snorer in your room. ;)

Sounds like a great trip! Have a fabulous time!!

I have done the same thing when I organized my family trip, you can print out some things and it won't cost alot at all.

print out notepaper with a disney character on it and their names. you can size it 8.5 x 5.5 for quick notes they may need to write. They could create a nice written note to your DD as a memory.

park maps, Robo has some great ones for parades and fantasmic

list of pressed penny locations

dining menu's shrunk to small size to cary with, put in a ziploc baggie so they stay dry

resort hints and tips, like the AC override info or the pizza delivery phone numbers.

a sheet with "fun" disney facts, hidden mickey locations

a 5 x 7 blank photo mat to have characters sign and a sharpie.

How about some Post-its? I can always find 100 uses for those on vacation.

Maybe some sudoku books from the dollar store? They're great for killing time by the pool or on the plane.

LOOOVE the pp's earlier idea to include some hidden Mickey info. You could maybe even make a "Hidden Mickey" scorecard and make it a kind of contest?

Also like other pp's ideas about sunscreen. Those little sunscreen wipes are so easy to throw in a purse and are great for a touch-up during the day.

Here are some of the things I do:

I take a snack size baggie and put together a first aid kit, including pepto tabs, tylenol, bandaids, antibiotic cream, etc. Comes in REALLY handy.

Extra baggies for when a meal is too much (comes in handy to put extra carrots or grapes from CS meals, and works as a snack for later).

You could give them each a few Disney Dollars. They could spend it on an ice cream or something or could keep it as a souv.

If they are letter/postcard writers, you could put stamps or pre-stamped postcards in the bag.

I also second the chapstick, hand sanitizer, wipes, kleenex, ponchos, and sunscreen. :)

I also think that the ponchos and hand sanitizer are great ideas! How about a Sigg type water bottle, or is that going to be too big? We loved these when we went, since we didn't like having to sit down forever trying to finish our drinks. Plus it made more sense for us to buy a large drink, pour the leftovers into the bottle, and have something to carry around and sip from.

I made goodie bags for DH and teenage DD & DS.

I got those big ziploc bags so they could re-use them for their stuff to go to the water park.

They received:
Scented deodorant - we went in August (I got it from Avon)
Beck's liquid baby powder from Dollar tree to prevent chafing
chap stick (also Avon)
Tube of M & M's and a roll of quarter and pennies for press machines
candy
re seal able bag of cereal for snack
ponchos
mint scented lotion for tired feet and legs
sun screen

Hope that helps! They were pleasant surprise! :goodvibes

I included ear plugs in a little "gift pack" for my parents last year when they went with us to WDW. My mother made some rude eyerolling comment about them, then the next day said that she had used them. She ended up using them EVERY night! I think my dad did too. They were just SO tired every night that they snored (more than usual):lmao:.

Because I just collected a bag of things for my parents and gave it to them when they got to their room (and once we got our luggage), I also included a magnetic Disney picture frame from Hallmark, pop-up hamper, Purex washer/dryer sheets, coffee and some non-refrigerator creamer flavors that my mom loves.

One I didn't see is the book lights from Dollar Tree. I always get one for everyone in our party as it allows you to read or do other stuff while not bothering your room mates in the dark.

I love the cheap photo mat idea. I wanna do that next time I go LOL! could be cool to toss in a homemade coupon for one family photo print (then take a nice one at disney) for there photomat
