Ideas for a 13 y.o. boy Halloween Costume

I couldnt get my kids to do it.. but... There are these lamp shades that are round and white. I say, you take one of these and decorate as "Jack" from Jack in the Box and put on a suit. My 13 yr old is just handing out candy this year and my 11 year old doesnt know what to do w/o big brother :).

Pirate - basically just ragged clothes & a bandana. Eyepatch if you want. Hoop earring. Makeup.

Mummy -- around 4 packs of cheesecloth & safety pins

Devil - red clothes, horns from red pipe cleaners or red felt & hairclips, the pitchfork you can make from twisted pipe cleaners stuck to a stick and wrap in duct tape. Tail you can make by wrapping something red (electrical tape, yarn, ribbon) around rope. Or you can make the tail from pipe cleaners too. Or you can stuff a long red sock.

My 13yo won't go any longer...well, hasn't gone in years..doesn't like to dress up..but will dress up for photos for mom!

Anyway, this year the kids are going as doctor, nurse and surgeon.

I bought scrubs at goodwill for a dollar a piece (must have lucked into it or they weren't priced right)...anyway..
DS13 is the surgeon and we are putting washable paint on the scrub top..he has a little mask too that he will wear around his neck and has a bandana to tie around his head..
DD is the nurse in scrubs
youngest DS is a doctor and will dress up in nice pants/tie and has a lab jacket to go over it...
Should be a cute set...
Last year they went DS12 went as a bad boy ball player (basketball uniform, chains around his neck with "bling" and his had ary)
DD went as an eskimo girl
youngest went as peter pan... green tights, green shorts, green t-shirt which I cut jagged... black belt... dollar store sword/bow and arrow set... than I made his hat out of felt w/ a red feather...

Next year they want to do the gangsters and flapper girl theme! I'm looking forward to that one!

Where do you buy Cheesecloth?

You can buy it in the baking aisle of the grocery store.
And I think by the yard at a fabric store.

Another funny one is a cereal killer. Take a sweat shirt and glue single serving cereal boxes to it and stick plastic knives in them.

some of the kids in DS13's class are going as Amish boys.

Nan, I can't wait to see the kids costumes!!
