We are bringing our daughters 15 yr old friend to WDW for her first time. We are veterans but yet we are having a hard time thinking up little things to make her experience extra special. We are staying at the BWV and will be "home" for a week this April. She is super excited but really doesn't know what to expect. Any ideas and tips would be greatly appreciated!

Don't forget the "1st Visit" Button.

Please consider HER desires in your plans. As veterans, you may have a pre-conceived notion about rides, shows, events, etc... but what you like or dislike may not be the same. Nothing worse then getting all excited about something and then be told, "Oh no, you don't want to do that it's ......"

While that may be true, it's still makes the trip less magical for her. Let her experience it too. Give her your insight phrase it more like "We tried it and didn't like it because of X, Y and Z, but you may feel different." and then let her decide.

Also don't try and RUSH everything in. Often times the best times of the parks are looking at the things that you may miss while trying to "RUSH" to get to the next ride or attraction.

Above all else, have a good time.

Teens aren't too old for characters and autograph books! Do not forget to get a passport in Epcot for her. Character dining also very special.

Isn't WDW special enough? I do recommend the button and of course, ask her what she doesn't want to miss and include your wouldn't think of or know about must see at least once in your life item.

We took our exchange student on a very quick and busy trip to WDW right before Christmas. This wasn't intended to be a trip centered around him and his wishes, but we wanted it to be a good experience for him. He didn't know what to expect, but we told him some of the things he might experience. First, it wouldn't be a relaxing trip--at least not the way we do Disney. We would be getting up early to go to the parks. We would be eating sporadically. We would be standing in line and walking a lot. We wouldn't be able to do everything. He had a great time and figured out some of the things that he wanted to do. He wanted to see a few characters, if the lines weren't long, and he liked staying in the parks late at night. He was just happy to be there.

We are going again in March and our college-age niece is coming along. She has been there several times, and she has asked for a scavenger hung. I had done those the other times she has come, so she must like them.

I am sure your DD's friend will have a great time. Everything will be new and interesting to her. There are probably classic things that she has heard about that she will want to experience, so find out what a few of those might be and work those into your plan. Have a great time.
