We're doing a grab bag at work for four people. We are all women, but come from different ethnic, religious and financial backgrounds. Our ages also range from mid-20s to mid-70s. We're doing the one person picks, but the other person can steal it grab bag. No gift cards allowed.

Any suggestions?

I feel like we all have such different interests. One woman's husband is a JW, so I don't want to get Christmas decorations. Bath and Body Works probably won't work for the 50 and 75 year old. I'm at a creative loss on this one.

TIA!

Great idea..but (and this is where things get so frustrating), my boss only wears Burberry. Says she's allergic to anything else.

What do you think about a mug? My boss doesn't drink coffee or tea, but most other people do, right?

a mug is a good idea.. you dont have to use it to drink... you could put pencils/pens or other things in it :)

what about soup ?? a can of soup, a spoon, some crackers and a mug ??

most people eat chocolate or how about the old movie night basket popcorn, candy etc. They have the cute popcorn individual dishes in Target dollar section

I suppose instant lotto tickets are out?

Car wash tokens?

Recipe cards and card holder?

how about something with snowmen on it, a figure or something.

Can a gift card be part of the gift? Someone did a cute one a couple of years ago by us with a fleece blanket, box of microwave popcorn and a gift card for one free movie rental.

I just did a $5.00 fleece blanket from Old Navy and $10.00 GC from Borders and wrote, "snuggle up with a good book"

a nice frame

a "movie night" basket with Blockbuster gift card, two cokes, two bags of popcorn, two boxes of movie candy

a coffee basket, including mug

gift card for a manicure

a manicare set, including polish

I just bought a fleece blanket and a candle for a Christmas party.

Where I work, a nice bottle of wine is the popular present for the grab bag. (Mine is wrapped and ready to go. :rotfl: ). It would depend on if your co-workers were wine drinkers though.
