Idea for Special Occasion

I have a question and am not sure where to ask it.

We are celebrating a combined birthday and thank you at Disney this year and we wanted to do something other than just take the guest of honor out to dinner. We are looking for something unique. We have already done the chef's domain at Citricos and I have looked into the celebration cruise but am not exactly happy with spending almost $400 with no meal included. We have 7 people (one is a small child) and we are looking to spend between $400 and $500 with meal hopefully included. I have called Disney directly, but I feel like if I don't know exactly what to ask about, they really can't help me out. Does anyone have any ideas? I know I am being really broad but we just don't know what to do or if there is anything to do that fit our criteria. Thank you inadvance!

Hm...

I hope you get some good ideas for this..

Sounds like a great idea....

But are you sure they can't include food on the cruises? I am looking into a cruise and I thought you could.

Another thought...do they still rent out the special Illuminations Viewing area at Rose & Crown for special occasions? It's the most excellent location...used to be 'my spot' when it was open to the public...

But some time ago they started using it for special parties only.

Or a Grand Gathering? Maybe?

Good luck !

Well hello there!!!

I have gone to a dessert party/Illuminations party at that spot behind Rose & Crown and it was FABULOUS!!!

Thank you so much for the ideas!
I am definitely going to look into the illuminations party with Rose and Crown. Do you know who I would call for that? I'm guessing not the recreation number but maybe dining reservations?
The celebration cruise said I could add catered food on but its not included in the price. I feel like if I'm goign to spend $400 I want a little more than snacks and soda but then again I don't know if I'm being unrealistic with my expectations on that.

I will try to find out who you can call for the Illuminations party! I know several people who have had them so one of them should know!

I just called about the dessert party at epcot and unfortunately they can only do it for 10 or more people (we're only 7). They used to make exceptions but no longer do it. Thank you for the idea though. It sounded so nice too.

What if you booked it for 10 and only had 7 show up?

If I booked for 10 and had only 7 show up, I'd still have that pay the $60 per person for the 10 + the venue rental fee which is a lot since I am paying for 3 people who don't even exist. That just seems like a waste but thank you for the suggestion.

I can think of two people who would be willing to help HAHAH! :rotfl:
