We just got back from a great 5 night stay at POR last week and I came up with an idea while walking from Riverside over to Scat Cat's at the French Quarter.

We saw the horse and buggy on the other side of the river and it made me think of our trip last year to Colonial Williamsburg. My GF and I started talking about the ghost tour we went on down there and I thought they should do one at Port Orleans.

They could have a cast member lead a group with a lantern and walk the grounds between Riverside and French Quarter while telling ghost stories along the way. Someone would have to come up with some tales and all, but I though it would be pretty cool. Maybe I'm crazy.

Any Thoughts?

call disney right away and let them know ur idea... I LOVE IT! it would also be scary walking the pathway to Fort wilderness!

I like your idea too but just to warn you, Disney gets very nervous about taking ideas from non-Disney employees. A few years ago my Mom had an idea for a theme of a new resort so she wrote letter to Disney about it. In a few weeks she received her letter back with a letter drafted by an attorney stating that Disney does not take unsolicited ideas and that her letter is being returned "unread" and if anything they do in the future comes close to her idea, it is just coincidental and not because of anything she suggested.
My Mom was pretty insulted and felt like Disney was angry with her for making a suggestion.

Love the OP's idea!

Just curious, but how did the attorney know the letter was a suggestion about a resort theme if they didn't read it and returned it unopened? :confused3

That's exactly why I put "unread" in quotes because obviously the attorney or someone at Disney read enough of the letter to let them know it was a suggestion and they did not want the chance of being sued by the originator of the idea if they ever used it.

Oh, I hope you don't think I was questioning you! :)

I just thought it was kind of funny that the attorney apparently didn't think his response through very well!

I think a ghost tour would be great! What a fun things for families to do after dark at Disney. We are going down in October with no children. I would love to do something like that!pirate:

I didn't think you were questioning me at all.

I think the wording was funny too. My mom was so hurt when she received the letter. She thought that as being a guest of WDW, she could provide some input into what guests might like. Instead of a "thanks for the suggestion", she got an letter from an attorney.

Lots of companys post "unread" for these types of letters. It helps protect against future lawsuits. I'm sure they have a system there low level clerks filter them out, and the standard lawyer reply is sent.
