Idea for Disney to help VMKers

I know the ultimate goal is to get Disney to keep VMK open but if the worst should happen ...

I went to check out what Disney was doing with their fairy site as I had made a fairy about a year ago. (and never went back) I found my fairy was still there .. apparently they are not on a "6 months absent, and we delete your character" program. Anyways... while I was there I noticed they have the option to print your fairy. I thought "why not", it is after all a cute little fairy. Out pops the printed page to reveal a beautiful 8 inch high 'non-pixelated' image of this fairy. I went right back and printed it on photo paper and let me tell you it is gorgeous.

My first thought was why doesn't disney let us have a website like the fairies one, if it won't give us a fully functioning game. I would love to have the opportunity to keep my little avatar and dress her and make rooms, and print off beautiful images. I know it certainly can't replace VMK, but I would like this better than having Lady-Sparkle totally deleted. Maybe that's just a girl thing though? Perhaps they could also figure out a way for us to leave messages too, so we don't lose touch with other players. It's the very least that Disney could do for the VMK community.

From what I have heard, Disney is planning on updating Fairies to a real game. You should not have to just "hang" in your room and decorate, lol.

Still not my cup of tea; but the kid girls may like it when they get finished.

There will be the ability to move between rooms (leaving a sparkle trail, rofl)

Oh and the new "Fairies" are now set to be real character walkarounds in the Parks along with Tink. Saw some pics online today of the new Faieres.

Like I said, not my cup of tea; but little girls may like it.

My girls love that site and are looking forward to doing more stuff with their faries!!

The more I read about what they are planning for the fairies site, the more convinced I am that Disney had the closing of vmk in mind for quite a while.

Take a read of the technology they are using to generate even more money from that online game than just subscriber fees. It makes me soooo sad that they didn't apply some of this to VMK. Not that we would want light up friendship bracelets but just the amount of effort that they are putting into promoting it. Lots of bucks to be spent .. all with the knowledge that Disney can pull the plug any time they want. It's almost highway robbery
