What ID does the airlines need for children? My stepson is 3. Should I bring his birth certificate?

You can bring a copy, just in case there's a problem, but generally you don't need any ID for a child to fly accompanied. You could also see about getting a letter from the parent not traveling, but that's usually not necessary (except when flying out of the country, I think)

Hi! Just confirming that when I flew with my 3 yr old and 18 mo old just before Christmas no ID was required for them. Happy travelling! (BTW, I highly recommend the aquadoodle sheets and small pen for travelling - kept my little ones entertained for quite a while.)

I just bought a dvd player, headphones and a Sponge Bob Sqaure Pants dvd for the plane ride. My stepson CAN NOT sit for very long and this is his first plane ride so everyone wish me luck!!!
