So question, I have seen where parents "ID" their children so if lost or if they get away from you then can be Id'd and Mom and Dad can be called. Has anyone ever done this? Is there a crafty/creative way to do this that is not annoying to the children? And also not flashing red lights to everyone around with our information. :confused3

I think that I'm going to get some tattoo paper and make temporary tattoo's for the kids. If you do a search for it there are a lot on ebay etc. Silhouette makes some too, it's kind of pricey but I figure that it would be on them but not too visable and they can't lose it.
I've never used it so I'm still looking into the best brand.

I had dog tag necklaces made for my girls. One side has a pic with their name (Not big enough for a stranger to be able to read unless up close) and on the back had all the info. They wore them the first time we went to Disney and loved them. I like the temporary tattoo idea too though.

You can get little containers that attatch to the kids shoeslaces, you put your contact info inside, close them they are water proof, then you can be contacted if you and kiddies get separated. I have seen them online, can not remember the name, but google kids id, something will come up.

I had rubber ID bracelets made for the 3 that I am taking to Disney in August. I put the name that they call me and my cell phone number on it. Unless you take the bracelet off, you can see the info.

I was at WDW the first week of April and when on the bus from CSR to one of the parks, there was a lady across from us holding an adorable little 2-3 y/o girl. I noticed something on her leg and asked "mom" ... she had used a marker/pen and had written their cell number on the inside bottom of the girl's leg. I guess if she was lost and a CM or someone found her, they could just call the number.

.

Great ideas, thank you so much. I like the dog tag idea if I can get my boys to keep them on. They usually wear flip flops so not sure the shoelace ID would work but I think that is my favorite idea. Thank you so much!!!

I got these little white tags that attached to shoes last time we went. It snapped over shoelaces or sandal straps and had a red cross and "emergency info" written on it. you needed to open it to see any info, and we had our cell phone numbers inside. Worked great and i plan to do the same this time around...if I can find them online again. They werent expensive..just a few dollars each. You could also put a sticker or something over the red cross if you wanted it to be less conspicuous

I got a dog tag from RoadID and it's terrific. It's stainless steel so it looks more like mens' jewelry, so it doesn't draw that much attention. It also has the medical ID logo so that if my son wanders and someone finds him it tells them he's non-verbal and gives his name, my name and my cell number.

Order placed, they should be on their way to me any day now. ;-) Thanks so much again.

Something easy that we've done is get a bag at the craft store of those little beads with letters and numbers. Then let the kids help string a beaded bracelet, spelling out MOM and my cell phone # - including area code since. Thankfully neither has ever gotten lost on vacation, and they both know my cell #, but being that they are still young, they could blank on it if in a scary situation like being lost. So this way it's just a cute bracelet to wear but provides us all with the security that they won't forget our cell #'s just in case.

Plus it's a fun craft for them to do to get ready for the trip! Good luck!

I use these and just keep them for anytime we go camping or to a theme park or an event where we could potentially get separated. Love them!

I wanted to post an update. We leave for Disney in 4 weeks from today. I ordered the Saftey Tats. Even though we have not used them yet I'm OVERLY excited. We got a total of 6. We have 3 children traveling with us so that gives us 2 for each child incase their first one rubs off. Even though they say the'll stay on for 2-3 weeks. I'll report back in after we get back with how I like them.

I picked up a 4-pack of Mickey Rubber bracelets at the party store, intending to write the kids names (they will be almost-2 when we go in October) on the inside and put them on their ankles. The bracelets would be too big for their wrists and would likely fall off. Our swimming classes use colored bracelets to ID who is what swimming level class, my boys currently wear them on the ankles so they don't lose them. The Mickey bracelets were $3-4 for 4 I think.
