Found a thread recently on this, but can't seem to locate it now! I'm looking for a much more convenient way to carry my park passes than in my wallet. Not the huge airport boarding pass holder, mind you...something credit card size, waterproof (perhaps)? Seems to me somebody posted a good Web site to find this.

Many have said WALMART--sorry they're not at my WALMARTS

Any help, here? We leave in 4 days so I guess I'd better find one soon or end up putting them in my George Costanza-size wallet again!

I think this is the thread you're talking about:

The WalMart lanyard I posted about in that thread should be available at every WalMart in the US (unless they're out of stock). But lots of people search the store top to bottom without finding them, because they're easy to miss, so let me give you exact directions and you can try again next time you're there - they are in teh jewelry section, on the same rack with wallet windows and checkbook clutches. Also on that rack are retractable ID reels and some of the cheap cloth-and-velcro wallets. They look like this:

If your WalMarts really don't have them (a distinct possibility, they are constantly running out of them at my WalMart), you can get one of the nice ID reels that Northie posted about in the other thread once you get to WDW. They are easy to find at most gift shops and pin stations and cost $5; if you don't like the reel, you can take the pouch off it and use any neck lanyard you can find instead. Neck lanyards can also be found everywhere at WDW for pin trading.

I've been using neck lanyards of this type for about 6 years, and in al that time I have never had a WDW KTTW card or park pass demagnetize on me, nor have I ever lost one or getton one wet. The plastic protects my cards from the weather and keeps them handy, and I also suspect that it protects the cards from static charges generated by putting the cards into cloth pockets, bags, or wallets (no evidence on that, it's just a theory that fits the available facts).

Willcad and everyone...

Got me "back on track." I should have no trouble taking care of this now.

Thanks!

UPDATE: I went to WalMart today and found that my WalMart has moved all the men's wallets, accessories, ID reels and lanyards have been moved to the menswear section, near the belts. I don't know if this has been done in all WalMarts, but it's worth noting.

I actually use a plastic water wallet that they sell at all the hotels. I have several of them--a Boardwalk one, a Caribbean Beach one, a DVC one, and a Castaway Cay one. I like the better than the plastic sleeves because they don't blow around in the wind.

You can get a Disney Lanyard with a universal holder atachment. It is a plastic sleeve that attaches to the lanyard that can hold room key/fast passes, bills$$ and/or credit cards...sodlat all gift shops and at the resorts, when yo arrive!

I got ours at staples- meant to be used as badge holders for a convention. THey were perfect to carry our keys to the kingdom along with our fast passes. I put ID info in the back of the kids with our cell #s and I put LGMH in the front.

I bought the Passporter ones and really like them. Several compartments plus a place for large pens and a zippered area for cash or whatever.

I bought ours at Office Max before our first trip. We are now going on Trip #6 and they are still like new.:)

I found them in the aisle with "labels" and other badge holders. Ours have a clear plastic window in the front (for AP and Fast Passes), a pocket behind that (where I keep receipts) and a little zipper pocket in the back where I keep a few dollars. There is a sliding "toggle" on the strap to adjust the length. They are a little larger than a credit card. I think they cost about $4 each.:thumbsup2
