ID needed on board?

Does anyone know if we will need to carry passports in order to buy drinks at the bars on board (we are Australian) or is the key to the world card enough?

Thanks! :)

Never needed it a single time. Anywhere you use your card to purchase something they have a monitor that shows your picture that was taken in port before you boarded.

I had my drivers license in with my key card but never needed it. Only time I had my passport was when we got off the ship at port as it was required to show to get back on the boat (although I think others have said a drivers license for US citizens might work? but I wouldn't risk it and doesn't apply to you).

I've never needed any ID beyond my KTTW card onboard when purchasing drinks. As mentioned, the bartender can see your picture and whether you are an adult over 21 when they scan your KTTW card. Of course, I didn't start cruising until I was in my 40s and I'm not one of those people that looks 16 even when I'm 45 so I can't say if I'd have a different experience if I was just 21 years old.

There is a letter on your KTTW card that indicates your age group - under 18, 18-20 and 21+. They will not serve if the KTTW code is not appropriate. When the card is scanned, they see your face, so they know you didn‘t borrow someone else’s card. You are not expected to walk around with anything but your KTTW.

Awesome, thank you. We are all in our mid-late 20's and get carded a lot so didn't want to be caught off guard :)

We never carried any ID with us on the ship other than our KTTW card.
