Id, luggage tags... what do you do

Wanted to share what we do, and thought we could learn from what others do.

On our luggage I put our name, address, cell phone.. Then I put the dates of our vacation, which hotel we are staying at, and the hotel's phone number.

That way if luggage is lost it gets to you more quickly..

My suitcase is also the one with wacky ribhbons on it!

We put an index card with our name,address, and phone number inside the suitcase just in case the outside tag gets ripped off and lost.

I just finished typing cards, using the business card format in MS Word, that have our family name, cell phone number, resort, resort phone, travel dates and airline name, flight times and numbers. I did up a full sheet of 10 plus 2 on another page (just to fill the last two spaces). I can put them in the ID pocket of each suitcase, plus give to family and friends who must know our whereabouts.

FWIW, the other 8 cards have a quick glance at our daily itinerary, one card for each day of our trip.

Provided you are careful to update them before each departure each way, put on the baggage ID tags the travel date and the final destination airport code and, if known, the final destination.

Let's start a fad!

Also make up 3x5 cards each with the same 3 digit number of your choice in big digits. Plaster one on each of your suitcases.
