I'd Like Some Biergarten Reviews

Im interested, but we dont know anything about German food. ( We dont know the language or even what the foods are) I see that it is a buffet style. It might be neat to try something we've never had, but Im a little bit afraid haha! I'd like to know how some other folks enjoyed it.

It's awesome! Just make sure you are carnivores, as there really isn't much there if you aren't a fan of the sausage or kilbasa.

I particularly like dinner time; because, you get live entertainment there.

It's typical buffet with salads, main entrees, vegetable dishes and dessert. There is not many dishes of each but it's an adequate selection. It's one of the more reasonable sit down restaurants; so, I think it has great value.

You eat in groups at a table with benches, not chairs. I think most tables fit about 8 adults.

I believe there's usually a fish and a chicken dish offered in addition to the sausage.

It's a fun place!

I am not a big kraut and sausage fan and I love it there. I adore the Schnitzel and the tomato salad and the rolls soup and the cookies with raspberry! I am hungry just thinking about it! We have booked it for dinner on our last 2 trips. I say go for it. There is plenty there even for those who aren't daring. It isn't over the top different.

I'm slowly working my way around the restaurants in WS, but I'm nervous about going to Biergarten even though the menu looks GREAT.....because of the sauerkraut I can smell it when I walk by the restaurant and am just so worried that it would be overpowering the entire meal.....am I crazy??

I dont do any of the sausages at all......but I love the chicken and the salmon and the soup is out of this world......plenty of choices for a non sausage person....I love it there and we go there every visit

It is kept in as separate container, so unless you take some you shouldn't have a problem. I am not a sauerkraut lover either. But I do love the sausages, schnitzel, etc.

Check out the food pics thread. A Dis'er was there a couple of weeks ago and posted some GREAT pics of the buffet. We have reservations there in a week and a half, and those pictures made me so excited. (I LOVE sauerkraut and appreciate hearing from those that don't like it. More for me!)

I didn't like it. I think we might have been there on an off night because so many rave about it. Our food was cold and it tasted kind of funny. The entertainment is wonderful though. I love singing along and watching them it was great! Mind you I am from Minnesota and we have a large German and Scandinavian population and none of the food here tasted like that and trust me when I say that we eat our fair share of brats and sausages!

I wouldn't really go by the reviews though and try it for yourself who knows, you may come to love it!

We love Biergarten! I'm not a huge fan of wurst, but I've always found plenty more things to eat. It's all delicious, and I never leave hungry! I highly reccommend it. Definitely plan to catch one of the shows while you're there, too.

We all enjoyed it, the children ate loads of sausage and chicken, i really enjoyed the salads and potatoes and my DH loved the beer.

The desserts were really good, we would definitely go again.

The entertainment was a band playing not particularly German songs but it jollied the meal along.

The only negative could be that you are sat in groups of 8. We were very lucky and were sat with two very nice American couples but we did see another group of 6 very keen to drink lots of beer young men sat with a young couple (possibly honeymooners) who spent most of the evening cringing at the 6 lads loud behaviour. Just the luck of the draw I guess.

We love the Biergarten. I used to live in Germany and the food is very similar to what I ate there. It's the only place I can get wurst salat without making it myself.

You do get seated in groups of 8 with other people. The seating is chairs, not benches (which is good for when you get up to go to the buffet.)

We were there in March and we were seated with three older couples from Mass, NY, and North Carolina. DH and I had a blast, they were so much fun that we ended up staying longer than we had intended just chit chatting with all of them.

Trust me CheshireVal we also had beer and it was great but these blokes were quite possibly on a stag night and the couple next to them did not seem to be enjoying the banter. We knew we could be seated with others and it was fine but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet night out!

True, you never know who you're going to get, though I think I might prefer drunks to people who look at you like you're the devil for drinking a beer with lunch.

I would actually prefer the restaurant if they didnt' seat you with strangers. I think I've only had one good experience with that out of my last 5 meals there!

OH we have had 2 meals there and 2 lovely experiences with our tablemates. Both were honeymooners. They were wonderful! I appreciate sitting with stangers. It made the meal for us.

This place has amazing food, we have never had a bad meal there.

I think I will mark this Biergarten down as a must do. The band looks like it would be great. Im not a big wurst or sausage eater, but as long as they got something else there, Im willing to give it a whirl. My husband might like it since his ancestry is from Scandanavia or somewhere. lol

We were just there with our 2 kids. FANTASTIC! Great music and fun, the kids had a blast, and the food was terrific! I'm a fan of German food except for sauerkraut. I know, that's like loving Italian but not liking garlic. Still, I can reassure the non sauerkraut lovers that there was no "overpowering" in the cuisine offered, and the one sausage dish that had the sauerkraut on the side...I just scraped it off with my fork and didn't have an issue. And I REALLY do not like the taste, sight, or smell of the stuff.

My 5yo daughter has a nose that is quite sensitive and she was deadset against going in because she thought she might be ill, but we told her it would be fine. As soon as we got past Imbiss (the CS part of the Germany--which is what I think folks smell when they walk past), she was fine. DH and I are pretty selective eaters and we thought this was one of the best meals we have had at WDW, not only because of the food but also the very nice people we were seated with. It reminded us of our visit to Munich and the real beer gardens. I have eaten in many restaurants in Munich and Bavaria and I felt this was pretty close to the real McCoy.
