ID holders?

I've read some people post about carrying their IDs, park tickets, room key in ID holder/ lanyards. Where would I get such a thing? Is this an easier option to keeping everything in your pockets or waistpouch?

Hi Southernwingz,

They do sell lanyards that come with a little plastic holder, that is big enough to fit your park ticket,room key,etc into. And if the landyard does not already come with the little plastic holder, just ask the cast member(they might sell them separate). You can find this at any of the pin carts through out the parks and Downtown Disney. They are nice to have to keep your park ticket and fast passes in, so you can pull them out quicker and not have to dig for them. I hope this helps.

argh!

This is driving me bonkers.

I KNOW I just saw them somewhere - they were credit-card sized and came in clear (to see the contents) or in colors...and they weren't the cheapy vinyl sleeve - they had a sort of hinged lid that clicked on and sort of locked into place.

You wear them on a cord - included - or lanyard? BUT WHERE!?? I can't find them now!!!

Someone please help! LOL

If you wanted you could call the Walt Disney World Merchandise # at 1-407-363-6200 an order one. Just tell them what you are looking for and they should be able to help you. I think it takes 2 to 4 weeks to get the item in the mail(just ask when you place your order). I hope this helps.

No, the Disney Store does not have any landyards, plastic holders or pins.(At least at the Disney Stores in MN). The best place to get it is buy calling the Walt Disney World Merchandise # 1-407-363-6200 or wait until you get to the parks. I hope this helps.

I didn't mean the Disney Store, I meant the DIS store, here on the DIS. They have a water wallet that is a hinged passholder type case to wear around your neck. I believe that is what a previous poster was talking about.

I've ordered some from this SITE before, I like the .75 inch thick holder.
You can order a lime green one from the Dis Shop. I think the Dis Shop's is the thicker, billfold sized case.

The one I was talking about is actually a landyard and the plastic holder is different from what you guys are talking about. The plastic holder that I am talking about is kind of like the thing you put pictures into your wallet(to display and show people). But it is just a one sleeve holder, there is room to put about 2 cards in it ( I hope that makes sense). At least for me this works really good and its light weight around the neck.

I think you might be talking about the Cast Member ID lanyards. These are very lightweight and typically feature a character in metal on the lanyard. The ID holder is plastic and you can slip in one or two IDs. I have one of Tinkerbell and absolutely love it. These can only be purchased at the Cast Member stores in WDW or you can find them pretty cheap on Ebay (around $5-10). Just do a search for cast member lanyard and you should find them. Hope this helps!!!

You can buy clear plastic ones at WDW, but they are a little hard to find for some reason (most just have a pin-trading logo credit card style dangler) - I got mine from the AK pin card near the Safari's but that was some time ago. I think I heard someone say a while back that they got some in Walmart so it might be worth checking there.

I've used them in the past, very handy, especially if you are getting FP's or shopping as it's a lot easier than digging your tickets or KTTW card out all the time.

Walmart has the clear plastic kind with the perfect size to put your room key, tickets, etc in. They cost a mere .99 and worked perfectly for us on our cruise in October. They're also a good size to put a lime green mickey paint chip from the Home Depot in front so that you can be recognized by other DIS'ers.

They nust not have these in Canada because I have looked and looked...I'll try to find some in Tampa if I knoiw the section of the store to check...

I got a fishing lisence holder in the sporting goods section of Wal-Mart. I can't stand to have something rubbing the back of my neck, so I picked up one with a plastic hook (kind of like what's on a dog leash). I hook it to my belt loop. I put in my park passes, room key, some $$ and a credit card. I also keep my fast passes in it when I get those. It has a clear front and opaque back, and a small divider inside if you want to keep things hidden. It has a zip-loc type closure. Works great for me!
