Do I need Id for DD who will be 5 years old for the airport? Should I have. Copy of her bc?

I always travel with a copy of my kids' birth certificates, however Southwest only asked for them when my youngest flew as a lap child to confirm he was under 2. At the security gate the officer usually asks my kids their names to make sure they match the ticket, but no ID. I would bring the birth certificate just to be safe, but I doubt you'll need it. Have a great trip!

There's no reason to bring any ID for kids under 18. It's not required for air travel and the only thing that can happen is that you would lose it.

ID is only required for passengers 18 and over.

As a pp said a BC can be required to prove a child can lap sit but other than that there is no reason to bring any form of ID for kids.
