OK, so I know there are a lot of folks on here that are chugging the Apple Kool Aid so I'm sure someone else has already dealt with this issue and figured it out. I've got an iPhone, iPad, and MacBook Pro. Wife has the same thing. We use one Apple ID for purchases. How the heck do we set up the cloud so all of our stuff is not getting mixed together. Seems like what I read on the Apple Support site read that we need to just use our existing Apple ID for purchases, and then each of us (Wife and I) would need to set up a new ID for our stuff that gets saved to the Cloud. Correct?? :confused3 I guess I just don't necessarily understand how the Apple ID, and the new iCloud IDs would all work together.

We have the same scenario in our house. Your interpretation of the situation is correct. You and your wife should establish new Apple IDs for your iCloud services and use your existing Apple ID for iTunes purchases. Here are the instructions from Apple:

iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch:

When you first set up your iOS 5 device, enter the Apple ID you want to use with iCloud. If you skipped the setup assistant, sign in to Settings > iCloud and enter the Apple ID you’d like to use with iCloud.
In Settings > Store, sign in with the Apple ID you want to use for store purchases (including iTunes in the Cloud and iTunes Match). You may need to sign out first to change the Apple ID.

Mac:

Enter the Apple ID you want to use for iCloud in Apple () menu > System Preferences > iCloud.
Enter the Apple ID you want to use for store purchases (including iTunes in the Cloud and iTunes Match) in iTunes > iTunes Store

PC:

Enter the Apple ID you want to use for iCloud in Control Panel > Network > Internet > iCloud.
Enter the Apple ID you want to use for store purchases (including iTunes in the Cloud and iTunes Match) in iTunes > iTunes Store.

Question.

So we all get new apple cloud id's.

Will our photos share to each other?

for instance.

iphone - wife
iphone - me
Itouch - daughter
Ipad - me
ipad - wife

each item above will have individual cloud id yes?

but if I want to take a picture and push it to my wifes ipad, how would I (or could i) do that?

I think Apple messed up here. I wish the would have done a "family" cloud, would have gladly paid for like mobile me.

Any help would be appreciated
