Is there unsweetened iced tea available at the counter service places in DL/DCA? I have been there so many times, but never really payed attention to this. I am pregnant now, and for whatever reason iced tea makes me feel better when I get morning sickness. Just wondering if I can get it easily there?

Thanks!:goodvibes

I am pretty sure you can. Funny, I don't know this for sure. I don't drink soda so usually have ice tea and never had a problem. Any place that does not have ice tea usually has hot tea and ice so you can make your own.

Congratulations!!!

Thanks!

That's funny, I had never thought of ordering hot tea and making iced tea. Duh! Guess it never mattered that much to me before :confused3

Most ice tea in So. Cal. is unsweetened. More and more you can get a sweetened flavored tea option, but non-sweet is the standard.

We bring tea bags when it's cold to make hot tea and my DD10 did use them once to make her own ice tea. Just get a cup of hot water and a glass or 2 of ice. :goodvibes

Check out allears.net and click "disneyland" tab at the top. Then go under menus- it will list food and drink choices at pretty much all locations in DL and DCA!

I love this site!:thumbsup2

Oh...and I always make my own iced tea. I love to make cold green tea and then squeeze in some lemon! Yumm and good for you! Just brew several packages of green (or reg.tea) the night before then put container in the fridge overnight. The next morning, pour and sweeten to your liken- lemon is my fav!

CS places where you can fill up your own drinks like Pizza Port & Plaza Inn have iced tea machines where you can choose the unsweetened option.

Thanks everyone!

That is what I was most curious about - I was afraid they would only have the Lipton sweetened stuff they usually have in soda machines. Not my thing. We go through a pitcher of iced tea every day at home, but I didn't want to fuss with bringing it with us if I didn't have to. :)

Never had a problem with unsweetened at Disneyland. My problem is I like lots of lemon and I can't find too many places where I can get it. The only place I know for sure is Plaza Gardens buffet. Sometimes I'm tempted to bring my own lemon. LOL

I drink unsweetened iced tea all the time, yes DL has this available everywhere. :) I love my iced tea. :)

They've been changing the tea options at the counter service places so that rather than using brewed tea (unsweetened) now most of have those Gold Peak machines which dispense either sweetened or unsweetened. But it's not brewed, and it tastes too much like powdered instant tea (which I detest) now. :(

Being from the South, I wish they offered Sweet tea, but that's just me. :) I like it like candy.

Oooh, I love the Gold Peak tea! I'd be happy to see a sweetened tea option.

Tea can be found around DL and DCA, but not everywhere. I think the hungry bear has tea. Most of the carts do not.

congrats!

Have you tried True Lemon? Here is a link to get free samples if you haven't http://www.truelemon.com/sample.cfm

This is my solution to not having fresh lemon around. I can carry packets in my purse and always have lemon for my water or tea. The lime is good too. The orange wasn't really my thing, but my kids love it.

:thumbsup2 isn't that funny...from up north here, we had no idea the ice tea would be unsweetened the first time we hit California! the kids nearly choked...:lmao: it's my drink of choice now but usually add a couple of packets of splenda.

That is a bummer - definitely like mine brewed

That was the biggest adjustment when we moved to Florida for a year - ordering iced tea and forgetting to ask for it unsweetened, then choking on it! I grew up on carob instead of chocolate and whole grains and banana chips (ugh) - never thought of putting sugar in tea :rotfl: I love regoinal differences like that.

congrats!

Thanks!
