is there any place where a glass of ice wine can be purchased in epcot or anywhere in wdw? i looked at the menus on deb's site and could not find any listed.:yay:

The place that would have it would be Canada. I'm pretty sure it's on the menu at Le Cellier.

i agree, but i did not see it listed on the menu at le cellier and could not find a kiosk listed for canada.:confused3:yay:

They have it in Canada at Food and Wine every year. The same brand is sold at Whole Foods. Gluwine (available at Christmas in Germany) is also at Whole Foods. :-)

Artist Point at WL has it and that means you could order it at Territory Lounge too, which is right next to Artist Point.
from the Disney web site:
The comprehensive, award-winning Artist Point wine list contains 131 selections exclusively from Washington State, Oregon and the Greater Pacific Northwest wineries. Wines are available by the glass, bottle or as part of the dinner and wine pairing for Guests 21 years of age or older. If sampling is your style, take a tour across the Port Wine or Ice Wine selections.

Ice wine won't appear on the menus but on the Wine Lists which aren't published in many places because they change pretty often.

I'd be very surprised if Le Cellier didn't have it on their wine list.

My wife had a glass of ice wine from the Weinkeller store in Germany this past August. It's expensive though so make sure you like super sweet wine before you get your tiny plastic glass!

The Canadian F&W booth is where I first got hooked on ice wine. They also have it at Le Cellier. I believe the one that I had at the F&W, which they also have at Le Cellier is from Inniskillin. Very tasty, but also quite expensive :thumbsup2

Also, if you like sweet wine, might I suggest the Rosa Regale Brachetto D'Aqui from Banfi sold at Epcot in the Italy store. It's a sparkling rose wine an it is excellent. So good in fact, we ordered it for the toast at our wedding!

The NY Wine Adventure has an ice wine again this year (F&W kiosk.) It's Casa Larga's. Hard to find any NY State wines outside of NY State, but if anyone really likes it, we have a lot of places in the Finger Lakes & the Niagara region that make Ice Wine. Casa Larga is located in Fairport, NY...right outside of Rochester.

Anyway, you can get a glass at the kiosk or buy a bottle at the fesitval center.

Ice wine (or icewine, as one word, or in German, Eiswein) is a type of dessert wine produced from grapes that have been frozen while still on the vine. The sugars and other dissolved solids do not freeze, but the water does, allowing a more concentrated grape must to be pressed from the frozen grapes, resulting in a smaller amount of more concentrated, very sweet wine. With ice wines, the freezing happens before the fermentation, not afterwards. Unlike the grapes from which other dessert wines, such as Sauternes, Tokaji, or Trockenbeerenauslese, are made, ice wine grapes should not be affected by Botrytis cinerea or noble rot, at least not to any great degree. Only healthy grapes keep in good shape until the opportunity arises for an ice wine harvest, which in extreme cases can occur after the New Year, on a northern hemisphere calendar. This gives ice wine its characteristic refreshing sweetness balanced by high acidity. When the grapes are free of Botrytis, they are said to come in "clean".

Very concise definition. I my self am a big Eiswein fan and look forward to seeing if I can get a sample in the German Pavilion. Along w/ Plum Wine and Saki in Japan, Margaritas in Mexico, more Wine in Italy, more Wine in Germany, Canada...pour me back to my resort, please... :dance3:

It is def available at Le Cellier, my mom likes sweet wine, I had heard of icewine from the boards. She ordered it and loved it, it was def. sweet!

Le Cellier has Mission Hill Reserve Reisling icewine, Chateau des Charmes Vidal icewine, and Inniskillin Vidal icewine on the menu (look at the dessert menu on the WDW dining site to find the listings). I've never eaten there, but I've tried the Inniskillin and the Chateau des Charmes on trips to the Niagara wine region, and both are quite good. The Inniskillin has become a holiday favorite here.

As someone else mentioned, if you really want to find icewine have dinner at Artist Point. Riesling and vidal icewines have become pretty common over the last few years, but AP was the first place I encountered pinot gris and chenin blanc icewines.
