I know that ice is not allowed to be brought on the ships, but what about ice packs? Obviously, I am not talking about the kind that you fill w/ water and freeze, I am talking about the sealed gel packs that you freeze and refreeze as needed. I am trying to think of how to bring milk aboard for my baby and keep it frozen.

Yes, you should be able to bring the "blue ice" through, especially if it's use for a medical purpose. That's the excuse I always had when I traveled through airport security.

And I am assuming you mean breastmilk, since you said baby. There will be those who come along and say "there's milk available on board, why would you need to bring it frozen?".

Are you planning on letting it thaw when you get on the ship? There is no place to keep it frozen.

There's no freezer, but we found the refrigerators on the Dream and the Fantasy to be very cold. In fact, the liquids on the bottom shelf froze on the Dream (milk and juice). So, put a container of ice in the fridge and you should be ok for a few days. You probably won't be able to keep it cold enough to take home after the cruise if you don't use it, though :)

There might also be an opportunity to use a freezer on the ship, since this is a medical-type issue. I don't know, but it's worth asking if you need to keep a week's supply of breast milk.

Thanks guys. Yes, I mean breast milk or human milk to be precise! Haha =)
Its milk I plan to use while we are there (like when we send baby to the nursery). Then, what I pump in place of feeding, I will store in the fridge for the ride home. My baby is almost 9 months old.

First - GOOD FOR YOU finding ways to make nursing easier and sustainable while traveling. I also understand the need to maintain your feeding pumping routine during your trip. You can certainly bring milk and the ice packs through airport security. You may want to get some advance it do directly from DCL about their security - just because training levels vary and if you get that one person who doesn't think ice packs are allowed for you, it would be nice to have an email or other confirmation that they are approved.

Good job, mama!
