That's my side door, the one we use most often. Wheeeee!

those look a bit dangerous....hope you take them down, before they take you down!

It seems to be a great past time these days, knocking off the icicles off the house. Oh yeah!

I have one on the back of the house I can't reach. It is getting huge!!

EEEK! I wouldn't want to use that door. Some killer icicles were falling off the library today when I stopped there this morning. Scared me to death!

Rachel says "holy c**p"!!!!!! I say be careful!

Miserable drive to work. Between the snow making all the streets smaller (and the fact that some towns didn't plow the back roads), it took me nearly an hour and a half to get to work...Craziness!

We have some sunshine today, so there will be a bit of melting (hopefully nothing in the basement!), and the icicles will come back. I'm not worried about the structure of my house. It's over 100 years old, it should be fine. But, I am worried about water getting in - either in the basement or through the roofs. Winter in New England...

My husband and my son spent yesterday afternoon shoveling my elderly neighbor's roof, today they are working on mine. I am also concerned more about water getting in. Neighbor had leaks in her basement yesterday, so far so good for us. We had already removed some of the snow from the roof. I really hope spring comes early this year.

We made it through yesterday's rain and melting with no water leaks. I think enough has melted that we are going to be okay.
