How many seatings are there for the Ice Cream Social? Is it hard to get a PS for this? Is it better to get the later seating??? Any info would be great! Thank you!

They used to have two seatings, but I think they are down to one per day now. I believe it is at 3:15. It isn't really anything more than sitting at a table eating ice cream while the characters come around and interact with you. Although I was very disappointed with it, many others rave about it. If you go I hope your experience is enjoyable!

I called this week and got PS for July. I was offered three times 2:50, 3:00 and 3:10.

We have done the Ice Cream Social once before and really enjoyed it. We had 4 adults and 4 children. We had wonderful interaction with the characters. There was Farmer Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale. They played tic tac toe with the kids, gave hi fives, hugged them, played with the girls hair signed autograph books, and posed for pictures.

The ice cream treats were different for the adults and kids. We thought it was good tasting. It is a little pricey for ice cream but I felt it was worth it as we were able to sit down and rest after being in the park for a while and the kids did see the characters without having to wait in a long line.

I would call 90 days out at the latest because I was told that they only have a limited amount of seating as the resaurant still serves meals.

One of the highlights of our Disney trip last year was going to the Ice Cream Social at the Garden Grill!!! We took our time working our way through our sundaes and the giant cookies and as a result we got to spend lots of time with the characters (Mickey, Chip, Dale & Pluto).

We had a great time, but in addition, I had read a posting about the 'rehitching ceremony' and remembered to request it for our anniversary when we checked-in at the podium. I was actually able to completely surprise my wife (and daughter). After the neat ceremony (which I also was able to secretly record on our camcorder), we got a rehitching certificate and then a chance to complete our meal with a free cake as well as having more fun times with the characters! Every time we view that video and the pictures we can't help but laugh, and it was something that we'll remember for a long time to come.

:p

From what I've read the re-hitching ceremony is performed by your server where they "re-marry" you and your spouse/significant other, and make you kiss for a long time. :) They also have the characters there and give you a re-hithcing certificate. It sounds cute! Maybe something DH and I will do on a future trip. When you make a PS, tell them you want the re-hitching ceremony. Some CM's, though, may not know what you're talking about and you might want to remind the host/hostess when you show up for your PS.

Did they require a CC when you made your PS? Is this a 120 day PS?
