Ice Cream Social

We went to the Ice Cream Social at Epcot's Garden Grill and was very dissappointed. The ice cream was really good but the character meeting was a disappointment. We did meet Chip while eating our icre cream once and didn't see anyone else while until after we had finished. We were determined to stay there and see other characters. Finally, we saw Dale, and Mickey.

We did enjoy all of our other character meals. This event I would suggest you totally miss. We were not impressed at all.

We've only been back 2 weeks from our wonderful vacation and it seems like years. Ready to head back to the world of magic and no problems.

I agree...we didn't think the Ice Cream Social was that great either. However, I'm glad we tried it at least once.

Actually I had the reverse opinion- I thought the character interaction was GREAT, but the ice cream was so-so, albeit displayed very cleverly.

But I think what I didn't like was how isolated the booths are at the Garden Grille...I don't know it's hard to put my finger on it really...

We agree. Did this in July and would never do it again. The ice cream looked much better than it tasted and we really didn't get much character time. The price after drinks are added is really steep considering it is only a snack ( my kids, DS especially can't just eat ice cream for a meal he has to haave real food or his blood sugar levels go all wacko on us). We will never do thai again.
