I remember reading about an ice cream social awhile back at Epcot. I don't remember the details about it though. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated. We're going in August, so an ice cream social sounds great!

I believe that this has been discontinued now. I think it was at the Garden Grilll mid afternoon.

Yes, that has been gone for awhile now.
But if you are an ice cream lover, try Beaches n Cream at the Beach Club. If you are with a group, order the Kitchen Sink.

And there is always the ever popular Ghiradelli's in DTD.

We ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS go to DTD and to Ghir.'s! Make sure you sign up for e-mail at their website BEFORE YOU GO.

They will mail you out a coupon for a FREE ice cream! However, don't do it TOO soon, as it expires fairly quickly.

That's too bad about the ice cream social. I love the rotating Garden Grill restaurant, but I hate the current menu. So the ice cream social was a good way to visit it.

Here is the link to Ghirardelli's website. Make sure you leave the boxes checked at the bottom so you will receive your coupon. When you receive your e-coupon, I think it will have an expiration date on it for something like 4-6 weeks out...not 100% sure about that though. (If you have two e-mail addresses, you may want to try it out first.)

We got one for our last trip in 9/05. It was buy one sundae, get one free I believe!

Can't beat FREE ICE CREAM!!!!

Sad to hear the ice cream social is no longer. However, Ghiradelli is a favorite of mine as well and a must do when in downtown Disney. They make the best floats!!!!!! Thanks for all the info
