Ice cream coupons for DTD

Can someone tell me the name of the ice cream shop in DTD and what there online site is. I thought you could get free sundays with a coupon or something.

If I remember correctly it's for Ghiradelli's. I know that I've spelt it wrong, but I believe that you just needed to sign up for their newsletter and you'd receive the coupon.

When you sign up check off that you live within 50 miles. They will send you an email for BOGO.

For anyone else doing this. Do not sign up until just before your trip as the coupon will expire in 2 weeks from the date sent

Be aware that they will ask you for your ID when you give them the email "couopn". Mine had my name on it and I don't know whether they would have let my DH use it or not. THe G store was very strict about this.

My husband and I each signed up. He actually received two BOGO coupons. One stated a "belated birthday gift" since his birthday was last month and the other was the Welcome coupon. I also received one at my email so we now have 3 BOGO coupons to use on our trip. Hopefully all the walking around the park will help us walk off all those calories.

Just an FYI. If you buy anything from Ghirardelli, you will find a 10 percent discount coupon on your next purchase printed on the receipt. If you have a big group, you could go into the candy shop and buy a 50 cent piece of chocolate. You can go next door to the ice cream shop and get 10 percent off your total purchase.

I wonder if they have just started this? Or maybe it just depends on who takes your order? We have used the BOGO coupons on 2 different trips and have never been asked for an ID. In fact, last month we had 3 coupons...one was in my name for the initial sign up, one was in my name as a b'day BOGO, and the third was in my DS's name. All of our coupons were legitimate and we would have had no problem showing an ID but they took our order, the BOGOs, and that was it.

What was the time differential from when you signed up to when you're leaving? I discovered that the expiration date of the coupon was about 30 days after I signed up.

I'd signed up early in December and the first coupon came back with expiration date of Jan. 13th...and we're not arriving at WDW until Jan. 15th. So then I used my second email and signed up a week after the first one and it came in with expiration of Jan. 22nd which is the day we're heading home, so that worked out great.

Back in August, we were not asked for an ID, but I have to warn you, those sundaes are HUGE. DH and I each split one with the kids and still ended up throwing some out.

We used that coupon last feb when we went thanks to all you here at the Dis. They did ask for id. The only piece of Id I had on me was my room key and some cash. The manager said to the cashier ( he came over after we asked to speak to him because they were not going to let us use the coupon because my room key is not id) "Most resort guests only bring thier room key out with them and a credit card. If its got her name on it its good enough.

They were HUDGE sundaes and we will defiantly be going back this trip.

Now my question is where is this store located at Disney?

It's in DTD. The best description that I can give you is that it's close to the World of Disney Store.

It's in a curve close to the water, as opposed to the shops that are set back in a cluster farther away from the water. Confusing aren't I.
