What are people's thoughts on Bur-r-rBank Ice Cream and Catch a Flave? I have never had ice cream at the parks, besides my obligatory frozen banana.

The ice cream parlor on MS is always so crowded so I have avoided it, but if you guys tell me that's the best I will try to be patient :thumbsup2

Are there "must have" sundaes?

We've done Brrrbank and the shop on MS. They are both very very good! About the same really. I've never done Catch A Flave, the line is always longer than I want to wait. :)

We really like the ice cream treats at BurrrBank. I don't think the ice cream itself is any better than say, a Baskin Robbins, but the specialty waffle cones are what makes it special. Plus they have lots of tables with shade and the feel-good Calif music playing. It is SO NICE on a hot day to sit there and enjoy!:)

It's Dreyer's ice cream at the one on main street and at Burr-bank ice cream. It still tastes good on a hot day, but it's not that special since you can get that at home. Dole Whips are a treat that I can't get at home :yay: I just saw that there is a Marble Slab at the new Garden Walk shopping center by Disneyland, and they have good ice cream.

We just LOVE LOVE LOVE Catch a Flave. It's not ice cream like you get at Burrbank. It's soft serve and you pick a flavor that they "swirl" into it and you can get a cone or a cup. I don't remember what flavors they have, but I do remember they have chocolate, orange, lemon, bubble gum, and cotton candy. They do have more than that though. I always get cotton candy or bubble gum and DBF always get orange. It's great!

We haven't enjoyed the ice cream at burrbank or on DL main street.

Dole Whips are absolutely nasty to me (hubby and son liked them but they can't eat them b/c of the corn syrup solids that wreak havoc on their systems).

I haven't tried the catch a flave, and really need to find out what the ingredients are...

Personally, I'd just go into DTD for Haagen Dazs! Real ice cream, they have simple ingredients much of the time (though not always), and it will likely taste better than the things we've tried so far inside the parks.

Basically it is all the same ice cream as it comes from Dryers'Edy's. Dole Whips come from Precision Foods and is has casein but no lactose.

I miss the big sundaes at Carnation Cafe. I am very leery of cross contamination from CMs banging the ladles and scoops on waffle cones. I love catch a flav as it is soft serve in two flavours and I plan to get some next month.

I love Mickey Bars and have not had allergens from them. By the Orange Stinger is a Slurpee cart. Carnation Cafe is sit down and has great sundaes. There is an intersection in the middle of Main Street and you can get ice cream by the lockers. The other end is the cafe and bathrooms. For a special treat try the boat at Blue Bayou which is a cookie, ice cream and a white chocolate sail.
