This sounded interesting to me for one of the night's MK closes early due to MVMCP. Would you recommend it for kids ages 4 and 8? How much do you think a taxi would cost from Pop Century to there/back? How long does it take to tour it all?

I'm moving this thread to the Orlando Hotels and Attractions board. I'm sure someone there will be able to answer your question. :)

I'm from Florida, so seeing giant ice sculptors might impress me more than someone from a cold weather state. It was expensive for the fact that I could only stay in there for about 25- 30 minutes. We could have gone back in, but we had seen enough. We liked it, and I would do it again. There are slides for the kids that are made of ice. The line to get in can get long, first thing in the morning, or later at night might be better. It's very close to POP, so I would think a taxi would be reasonable. I don't know how much you've read about the exhibit but Gaylord Palms should have info about it and pictures. If not I might have some.

We thought so and we are from up north. We prepurchased our tickets online so I think a slight discount. There were coupon rates for some days. We made a day of it, ICE, then ice skating, then we spent a couple hours in the Gaylord Atrium where there was holiday activities including a scavenger hunt based on clues for the travelocity gnome. We had a blast !

The ICE was beautiful, we walked through then backtracked and looked again at it. The ice slides were so much fun for all of us !!!

This is video DS took as he went down the slide. Click on photo to make it start....

DH went when we were on our honeymoon in 2005 and we had fun. We went early and had the ice slides to ourselves. I loved the temperature in there. I could have stayed in there all day.

Even though we normally try to avoid cold weather when we're on vacation;) This looks like fun, I think we';; try it! Thanks for mentioning it!

We go maybe every other year. The sculputures are GORGEOUS and the ice slides are great fun, but I think it's overpriced for what you get. Still, what tourist attraction isn't?

Last year you could buy a "fastpass" that virtually eliminated your wait time. We got one, and I really pitied the people in the standby line; it was neverending and made worse by all the fastpass people being let in in front of them.
