Just wondered about this airline as we have never flown them before. Just booked airfare for $300 out of Houston to London for spring break. Awesome price! It says it is operated by British Airways, which we have flown before. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!:goodvibes

You are not flying Iberia Airlines at all. You are going to be flying on a British Airways plane.

British Airways and Iberia are owned by the same company, and operate trans-Atlantic flights merged with American Airlines.

British Airways is above average as far as coach goes. You will have comfortable, but average, coach seats, you will get a small amenity kit and you will have video on-demand at your seat, but if you've flown them, you know what to expect.

I saw that price too, they had $471 from LA, which is an amazing price.

Great price did you book from airline?

Tinkerbelle32, please tell me your $300 Houston/London fare was one-way! DD#2 would weep for joy if she could find a similar fare Orlando/ or Tampa/ or Ft. Lauderdale/London

I fly Iberia to Spain and I have to say that like them very much, always on time and customer service has always been good, but yeah watch out becuase the operate on the one world network so if you are not careful when you boo you wont be on thier planes.....btw howd you get such an awesome price?? I want it...lol

Pigletpal2 and Dodukes - No, that was round trip out of Houston straight to London Heathrow!!! I did realize after posting that we would be flying on British Airways, which we are always very happy with. Not for sure if the sale is still on, but go to Iberia.com website. Other have reported getting slightly higher fares out of other cities. About the $400 range. Thanks for the quick replies all!! Good luck!!

P.S. Just checked and the sale fares are still on!!! :)

...and had a horrible experience. The planes were consistently late, we missed every connection; one of these instances it was clear we were going to miss our connection before we even left the originating airport but Iberia would not change our second flight (we were leaving Rome with a connection in Madrid, the flight out of Rome was delayed and we ended up having 30 minutes in Madrid to catch our connection. If you've even flown into Barajas airport you will know that this is not possible. The planes land on the tarmac and do not roll into a gate - instead a tram comes to pick up passengers. The tram usually takes 15 minutes to get to the plane and then another 15 back to the terminal. Enough said.)

However, having said that - this was before they were bought by BA so maybe things have changed. Also, I should mention that I paid less than $250 ROUNDTRIP from San Diego to Rome so I wasn't too displeased. You get what you pay for and my DH and I had an amazing trip to Rome and Florence at criminal prices!!

I am ALL about cheap airfare and Iberia has been totally fine for me. On time, no frills, the food is not good at all though, I would take snacks on the plane with you.
