Ummm....psst. Mike, can you explain that reference to me? :X

I'm not Mike but I am a Star Wars geek. When George Lucas re-released Star Wars for the theaters and DVD he changed the scene where the bounty hunter confronts Han Solo at the bar. In the original form, Han shot the bounty hunter first but in the re-release he had the bounty hire fire first and then Han fired in self defense. I guess it supposed to make folks sympathetic to Han killing the bounty hunter but it should have been left in it's original form. It added nothing - thus Mike's reference. HTH.

Even worse, to make Greedo shoot first, he had to make him such a horrible shot that he'd miss from the other side of the table by a significant margin, such that it just made the scene stupid.

In the later DVD release, some things were further tweaked, including making the shots near-simultaneous, but it still didn't make it better.
