Is Ohanas menu changing and if it is, when and what will the changes be?

Last month when I stayed at the Polynesian I was walking by Ohana and saw that their dinner menu was changing. I think it is to happen sometime this month, however I forget what the changes were to be.

I hope there are not any drastic changes!! I have an ADR for 02/11 and we have never been before. I am eagerly awaiting the bananas foster bread pudding. Hopefully someone will have some more info about what/when changes will occur.

When we were there in September, we were told by our server that the grilled sausages were very unpopular and were going to be removed from the menu. She told us they would be replaced by large grilled shrimp (prawns?) on skewers. We thought the sausages were nasty, so we were ok with this. ;) Take it with a grain of salt though, we all know that cast members sometimes maybe don't always have their stories quite straight.

Now I assume that if this rumor were true, having shrimp on skewers might mean no more peel and eat shrimp appetizers. That might be an overload of shrimp? So maybe we might see a new appetizer choice as well?

As long as they still offer the salad with that luscious dressing, and the heavenly bread pudding with the Bananas Foster sauce, I am all good. :thumbsup2

We were just there on the 2nd and the only thing that changed since our trip in June was NO more sausage...They now have grilled shrimp.:cheer2:

So since that grilled shrimp replaced the sausage was the peel and eat shrimp app still served? I didnt know if they would just not serve it or replace it will another app.

We were also there on the 2nd. They served both kinds of shrimp. We also got pineapple coconut bread instead of the chips and dipping sauce.

was the bread in place of the chips and dipping sauce or can you still get the chips? (DH hates coconut!)

The only thing we did not care for when we ate there was the chips and sauces. So I am glad you get bread now, and as long as they have some type of shrimp hubby will be okay with it. This is a repeat for our October trip this year, everyone loved Ohana last year..:thumbsup2

We didn't get any chips but my husband noticed some sitting in the window of the kitchen area as we left.
