FI and I will be in Orlando in January for our honeymoon. There is so much that we want to do since I haven't been there for 18 yrs and FI has never been! We are trying to narrow things down so that we can have some relaxing days also. We are trying to decide on whether or not to go to IA. Is it worth it to go if we will not be going on these rides: Dr. Doom's Fearfall, Hulk Coaster, Dueling Dragons, possibly Ripsaw Falls, and of course, the little kid stuff like playgrounds and children's rollercoasters ?
Thanks!

I think that you should go to IOA. There are many things to see and do there. In my opinion, Spiderman is the best ride that's been created. Its very unique. Do Ripsaw Falls! Especially if you grew up watching Duddly Do Right cartoons. Popeye and Bluto's Bilge-Rat Barges are also fun, but you will get drenched! The Jurassic Park River Ride is also fun. The Eight Voyage of Sinbad is an entertaining stunt show.

They also have a few interesting dining options that you won't find anywhere else. Mythos Restaurant has won the award for best theme park restaurant a few times. The inside has rock walls with faces carved into them. We always get a Potion of the Gods :drinking1 when eating there. Another interesting place to eat is The Enchanted Oak Tavern. From the outside it appears lika a huge oak tree with a large face carved into it. Inside, they have a glass dome with the constellations in it. Very cool.

Also, the theming at IOA is outstanding, with each land having it own unique theme. Be aware that there are 2 paths through Suezz Landing. The main one that passes through Suezz town and another, less known, one that passes behind Suezz town, along the lake edge.

IOA is the best park in the world in my opinion. It should be the very last thing on your list to take off. Just about any of the other parks should be on your cutting board before IOA. IOA should be at the top of your list as the #1 thing for ya'll to do. (It was recognized as the 2nd greatest park in the country by a recent documentary on parks) I think they had it wrong with putting it at #2 and not 1 but goes to show you that I'm not crazy in thinking like this.

I wouldn't "cut" IOA out...but, if I may ask, why do you ask about IOA & not Universal Studios?? Do you plan on going to the Studios??

Yes, we are wanting to go to all 4 wdw parks, a wdw waterpark, Sea World, Discovery Cove, US, and IoA. The only reason I was asking about IoA was because we were cutting so many rides out (what seemed like the big attractions). Neither of us had ever been to either of the Studios, so we didn't really know.
So, what is your opinion of Univ. Studios, then?
Thanks!

I would recommend (if you have to cut) cutting out MGM at WDW, to me its not that great of a park, its usually something I only do when I am spending about 2 weeks there and may get bored with everything else. (The other 3 WDW parks are great) The main Universal Studios (I call the old park) is also great, IOA is just the greatest out of any of them. And yes you could not ride a single thing there and it would still be worth going. But you shouldn't have any problem with the 2 best rides at IOA Spider man and Jurassic Park River Ad (boat ride).

My opinion would be to cut Animal Kingdom to 1/2 day, and do MGM the other 1/2. I would take a day for each Universal park..... IMHO, I don't feel there's a full day of stuff to do at AK..others may disagree, and that's okay. If you are trying to fit all the parks in AND relax, you are going to be rushed and whooped. Plan to return, cause you probably won't see it all. Look at the websites and try to figure what's important to you to see...remember, Universal parks close early (in Jan.)...well, earlier than Disney parks. Good luck with your planning and congrats on your impending nuputials! :bride:

I agree with that plan, MGM and AK are 1/2 day parks IMO
