If we stay at a WDW resort and do not have house keeping clean our room - I heard you get a gift card in return for not using the service.
How much do you get ?
Is it allocated per day or per night of your stay at the WDW resort ?
Thanks !

I think this is just for value resorts. You will get $10 for every night but one.

Wow - so if we stay 9 nights - we would get a $80 gift card ?
On our last day of our stay do we receive it ?
We could use it for souvenirs in the resort gift shop before our plane for home.
Could the resort gift shop ship (package sent to our home) our items to our home that day?
Thanks !

You receive it as an e-gift card to your email very soon after you accept the offer at check in.
You won’t have to wait till your last day. Also, you can request towels and toilet paper, etc. any time during your stay by calling housekeeping.

Yep we are planning on taking advantage of this to help pay for our dinner at trex the first night ..
I figure we won’t be in the room enough to need it much

My kids make their beds every morning at home .i can easily pack a few grocery bags for garbage and they can run it to the trash can and you can
ask for more towels as needed .. I’m not worried a few chores even on vacation won’t hurt them :)

You understand you won't get it at all, right? Not just "not much", but none?

Usually there are more trash bags in the bottom of the trash can. So if you fill one and want to replace it, there should be more there to take its place.

Just a word of caution: some people reported on other threads that they were not eligible for this credit if they booked through certain TAs. I don't know Disney's official policy on it, but anecdotal evidence says that it's not guaranteed. I believe the TA in that example uses convention-rate rooms, but I'm not sure if there are other exclusions.

We stayed at POFQ on the 7th December for 7 nights and was offered $60 as they do not pay for the last night as a clean is required on the last day.

Here now at POFQ. We booked through a certain TA that uses convention rate rooms. We opted out of housekeeping for the gift card. No problem. :)

When we booked through the same TA at POR this year, we were told we weren't eligible because we were technically part of a "group" reservation. Seems to be inconsistent whether you are eligible or not.

That’s too bad.

We also have a split stay right now at the same resort. 10 nights and 2 nights. They combined both stays into a $110 gift card and said we could stay in the same room. No guarantee with that of course, so we feel very lucky and thankful. :)

If you bypass the lobby doing online check in (going straight to the room) do you lose the option of accepting this offer or is there a way to accept by calling the front desk or stopping by at a later time? Thank you!

You'll have to stop by the front desk at some point on Check In day.
