This is my first poem ever, so it's kinda short and i don't know if it's good or not. But tell me what ya think!

Bestfriend

From the day we met
On that first day of school
I knew you were someone
That I thought was cool

You and I
Have been through so much
You support me through tough times
Like a much needed crutch

So many words describe you
Caring, nice,and funny
You're especially sweet
Sort of like honey

You're your own person
You don't try to be
Like the other girls
And that's impressive to me

You're truly special
I love you for who you are
Just remember
You're my shining star
