i used to drink a lot of beer, i fact at one point in my life i believe i was qualified to give lessons..........those days are behind me and drinking is a rare diversion rather than a vocation.....but....i have a good palate and if you drink light beer and it is available in your area i have just stumbled across and highly recommend Sam Adams Light by Samuel Adams. it is on par with their Boston Lager. absolutely no bitterness at the finish..........any other Samuel Adams fans out their? how about Yuengling which is a close second?

I love love love Sam Adams. I am not a big light beer fan but the Sam Adams Light is great. My fav is the Rustic Saison though.

I like Sam Adams okay, but I'm more of an Ale guy than a Lager guy.

My current favorite is the Dogfish Head Raison d'Etre. It's dark, on the sweeter side, and I find it very tasty.

I'm also a Sam Adams lover (not just an OKW Lover). Having a Sam right now. :drinking1

Got to agree with your comment about the Sam light too. I would otherwise never drink a "lite" beer - they simply had no taste. I was pleasantly surprised with the Sam Light in that it actually tastes like beer.

I love buying the Brewmaster 12 Packs which gives me an assortment of seasonal brews so I can try all the different varieties.

I love Sam Adams. Sam Adams Light is the only light beer that doesn't make me look around to see if there's a sick horse standing around.

I think my favorite is their Winter Lager, but the Oktoberfest is good too. Heck, Sam Adams doesn't make a bad beer!

The Sam Adam's beer at F&W last year or the year before was really, really good. It was made with either Blackberries or Blueberries. Sam Adam's is always a good pick.

Yeungling is good too. It arrived in my area a few years ago. But the Michelob Original Lager is very good and what I now buy from the store.

Now that I make my brew my own I have not been buying much beer and when we do it in the Michelob since it cost less than other beers. I was shocked to see how much the top end beers have risen in price! :scared1:

Later,
Dan

Sam Adams Summer Ale has been a favorite this summer. DH has been a Yuengling fan for years (it is somewhat local to our area), but we like to try new beers. Our favorites this summer have been:
Sam Adams Summer
Sam Adams Cherry Wheat
Leinenkugels Summer Shandy
Kona's Longboard Lager

Being in the Northeast Sam Adams is a good back up beer for me - when I can't find any fun micro's - but I lust after a Karl Strauss or Shiner Bock (can't get either up here and it's been years since I was in San Diego) any day!!!!

My recent fav is Shipyard Summer. I was looking at their Pumpkinhead in the store the other day, but couldn't bring myself to think of fall yet!

Anything Sam is always a good backup for us, but we prefer our local brewery Wachusett for a basic ale/IPA/seasonal.

I like most of the Sams. I like the new Rustic Saison - very light taste. But I'm not a huge fan of Sam Light. I think it reminds me of cheaper beers.

One that I had recently that I was kind of surprise at was Belhaven. It's got a slight coffee taste to it, and I don't like coffee, but I found it real good. I kind of imagine that's what Buzz Beer in the Drew Carey Show was like...don't know if it has the caffeine though :)

I love the Seasonal Packs as well -but just can't seem to get rid of that one Cranberry Lambic that never seems to leave the fridge. I traditionally suffer through one every Thanksgiving. I love the Cherry Wheat on occasion, not all the time -it just hits me the right way.

I am a big Yuengling fan, I will try the Sam Adams Light thanks for the recommendation.

Funny about the Cherry Wheat. That's one I can't take. First sip is ok, but a few later and I think I'm drinking cough syrup. :stir:

I haven't yet tried the Cranberry Lambic, but it doesn't sound like something I'd care for. I like cranberry juice, I'm just not sure I want it in my beer. :drinking1:

I was a fan of Cherry Wheat early on, but now I'm like you - can't really finish it off. And I don't care for the Cran Lambic at all.
