I won't get sick

I feel a little something coming on, but I really can't get sick right now. I'm going to be a bridesmaid on Saturday, my birthday is on Monday, and I'm taking my board exam in 2.5 weeks. It's so not a good time to come down with something, but I can feel it. What do I do? I'm already taking loads of vitamin C, Zinc lozenges (not together), tea, but I'm afraid it's not going to help. Anyone have any remedies?
 
Get plenty of rest and eat really, really well. Lots of leafy veggies and colorful food.

Drink water and non-sugary juices.

And keep repeating, "You won't get sick, you won't get sick!"
 
Is Zicam the same as zinc lozenges? Zinc is proven to lessen the severity and duration of a cold. We start in on them the minute we feel something comming on and never seem to have whatever is going around nearly as badley as everyone else (if we get it at all).
I am also a big believer in making sure you are getting enough sleep and drinking enough water. I know the sleep can be hard to make time for when you are so busy but you will be healthier and your mind will be clearer for the exam as well:goodvibes

Woops, I meant that I was taking zinc lozenges. For some reason, I put Zicam. Probably cause they both start with Z. I'm going to edit that now.
 

I don't do the lozenges but I swear by zinc as well. I tak e50 mg in the morning and 50 mg at night (on top of what ever is in my multi) the second I start to feel something come on. It almost always knocks it right out.
 
It sounds like you're pretty busy the next few days but SLEEP when you can! Even a 20-minute nap. Sleep is a great natural way to heal your body, and to rest up so you don't get run down.
 
I take Airborne if I start to feel sick or if I think I've been exposed. I haven't been sick in over five years! It's just mega vitamins. I also agree with sleep, drinking lots of water, and have some chicken soup. If you do get sick, take Zicam and it won't last.

Cold-Ez, rest and fluids. Sleep is really important when yoiu are trying to fight something off. Good luck, no one like a bridesmaid with a red nose! :laughing:
 
Try Vitamin D. I took a bunch of it the last time I had a cold and it knocked it down pronto.

Have you tried colloidal silver? I like to gargle with it when I feel like I'm coming down with a cold. It seems to work more often than not.

At the first sign of something brewing I take a shot of whiskey and sit in a bath thats as hot as I can take it. Sometimes it works!:thumbsup2

I hope you fight it! :)

Eh, it was half to figure out how not to get sick, and half just complaining about starting to feel something coming on at a bad time.
